Hey Barry, the band sounds great and your vocals are as polished as ever. I play in an excellent big band in KINGSTON, your old hometown. Best wishes, Jim Trott, trumpet.
That is really different than some of the later versions, especially Maynard's solo. That band was really tight. Great band. I saw that British group once and they were really good in person.
I used to sneak in a small cassette recorder into concerts and secretly record the performance - usually it was cold or wet and I'd hide the recorder under my coat . This sounds like one of those types of recordings ! I hope that it was a quality tape as I would go to RADIO SHACK in the 1970's and buy their "REALISTIC CONCERTAPE" and record concerts . Oh by the way , I almost got caught once ! I got to record some great concerts ! Sadly when I played them back , the quality of the sound was not that good ! It was like "LO FIDELITY' !
Same... I have cassette recordings of MF Band from Birdland, Blue Note, Tarrytown Music Hall... even when MF played at The Lodge in Binghamton, NY 1980... priceless
Nice to hear a live version where MF wasn't so jacked that he counts it in way too fast for the band to play cleanly, and for the listener to enjoy. It got pretty stupid sometimes!

Is "CHASEFREAK" a fan of the group "CHASE" ? You have good taste ! Sadly BILL CHASE died in 1974 in a plane crash along with some members of his band . The group "CHASE" left us with three albums :"CHASE" , "ENNEA" and "PURE MUSIC" .There were compilations of the group "CHASE" that were released after the death of BILL CHASE in 1974 .
Hello Len, my high school jazz band played this tune back in 1982. I was wondering if you have a copy of the sheet music for the guitar ? I cannot locate any scores for it on the internet! Or if the piano chart if it has the chords on it? I would like to get a copy if possible. Let me know. Thanks, Rob G.
