@@MEMUNDOLOL "yes grizzly - local north-american name for brown bear" - wrong; the grizzly IS a brown bear, just one of its subspecies. Grizzly is an internationally recognised and used name for this subspecies, not just colloquial. - the irony of your comment is you have it backwards. What _is_ the case is that 'brown bear' is used to refer to the grizzly _by_ North Americans, just about the opposite of your comment!
@@Dr.Ian-Plect im sorry bruh biology doesnt care about your naming conventions, you can name football a soccer as mush as you want doesnt change a thing, same with bears, "grizzly" bear genetically identical to any other brown bear bcs its a brown bear with a fancy nickname, americans have fixation on giving new names to things that already named, end of story.
@@MEMUNDOLOL 'bruh' and the following claim gets you muted, you clearly don't understand the topic. ""grizzly" bear genetically identical to any other brown bear bcs its a brown bear with a fancy nickname" - no, plant pot, distinct groups exist within species in recognition of their differences to other groups of the species. There are several brown bear subspecies around the world, the grizzly is one Muted.
By this comment, I commemorate the memory of "Tank". Unique because he was the color of a milk chocolate bar, I named him "Tank" because of his numerous battle scars. He was not the largest boar on the north end of Kodiak, but he stood against the biggest of his kind without yield. The terrible scars about his face and body stood testament to his determination. I recognized and knew this particular bear for over 20 years. He recognized me in kind, and the respect was mutual.
The Nene (Nesochen sandvicensis) is a goose native to Hawaii, it is the only extant species in the genus Nesochen (Hawaiian Geese) following the extinctions of the Nenenui (Nesochen hylobadistes) and the Giant Hawaii Goose (Nesochen rhuax), its closest living relative is the Swan Goose (Cygnopsis cygnoides (cladistically including the Oriental Goose (Cygnopsis cygnoides domesticus))), the split between the genera Cygnopsis and Nesochen occurred during the Pleistocene from an ancestor in Asia.
That looks like it could be the sand hills of Nebraska, or a dozen other places. Feel bad for the horse limping like crazy in upper left at the start, wonder if it got bit by a rattler. Dealt with a lot of snake bites in their face and and legs before, not fun.
Sunrise and sunset are just magical at the Grand Canyon. Spent several years going there in mid May for an annual family camping trip and have done both from one end to the other. Pictures and video will never truly due it justice.
It's a very interesting place, like something out of a sci fi movie. I would strongly recommend NOT going there in the summer time, otherwise a very interesting walk.
Wonderful video and country. I truly enjoy the Ponderosa pines mixed in with the open prairie, for me it just give the are a majestic feeling and is pleasant on the eyes. Especially when you mix in buffalo, deer, elk, antelope, big horn sheep and the occasional black bear.
Thank you for the video, brought back a lot of memories. Spent a handful of days there in 1976, 10 years old and it was truly magical. The caves were magnificent and the wildlife and wide open prairies were amazing. Truly a spectacular place.
Should you ever decide to go, late mid to late October is a great time to go, avoid the summer if you can. You can also do Meteor Crater in the same trip as it's not that far down I-40 from the Petrified Forest.
Too bad bears look so fluffy and smooshy. I Know! And yet, ahhwww. If I Know, and still just want to hug him, I do see how a indoor person might be swept up and try an ill advised interaction with the faunaaahhhh oh nooo....🎉
How nice it is to hear the wind and birds! Great shot, your locale! Exact right place to show how much ground a big four legged critter can cover, barely even trying. 🎉
omG? I was thinking something great was going to happen & then the wolf goes pou pou??? Thank God I wasn't eating!!! Can you please put a disclaimer so no one eats during viewing! Thanks...🙃🌝
If this was recorded anytime in the last 6 years or so, the wolves were not the Lamar Canyon pack. Might have been the Junction Buttes, might have been the Mollies, might have been the Shrimp Lake pack.
