Ther is a lot of good things about the JL picks. The handles are brilliant and some good profiles and the constant sell out proves the popularity. Glad you like them
The handles are definitely fantastic without being huge, the profiles do some of what I didn't have before-but I also have to say that his prices are awesome for the work he does!!
I've never heard the term "Noken" before! I'd love to be enlightened about how Noken works-I was simply sharing what works for me, trying to figure things out from a diagram only.
He does make nice picks. I've noticed many lpu pickers use them. And his customer service is first rate also. Testimony is how fast he sells out. I was lucky enough to get a couple of sets from Alan at UK lockpickers before he sadly passed. Good luck in the draw buddy 🍀👍🤜🤛😁
@@jeffandthings77 I got a round tip set and then the gems and diamonds ( in no particular order 😁) . My go to is round tip usually whether it's Lawlock, praxis, sparrows or Jimmy longs. Flats are ok but I find interference occurs if the pin stack are closed together for example the 8 pin Abus LOTOs
Very nice!! So I was just playing with a medeco this morning before work, testing a new pick. And I highly recommend Southern Specialties elephant trunk pick set! It has the perfect tip for seating those chiseled tips! 😊
That's fantail Jeff.... ... now all you have to do is pin it up and pick it. Personally I'm not really into progressive pinning. Stick the pins in and feel the lock talking. 😉
I've done 2 mods to my pen, 1: I have dremeled a slot through the security cap, and a slight slot on the pastic cap that spacers the small picks. (This allows the pen to be the handle when picking) 2: have removed one of the picks and have added a cut down tension wrench (to fit inside as I found the pocket clip was too thick). Granted, isn't my edc, but a fun toy to pull out and play around with. It is however my favourite pen due to the weight and metal construction.
You are describing some thoughts I've been having lately ( I am EDCing it right now) I'll have to try some of them out, and hopefully have a follow-up to this video to share them....eventually.
Life just gets in the way full stop 😂 I'm enjoying slightly shorter hours of work during the holidays but that in itself engages different stresses. I tend to have spells of picking marathons and spells that are sparse. Cheers for sharing Jeff 😉👍

I am amazed by this The nearest I have got to anything like it is using nylon clothes line to crochet possible bag handles It seems we are all finding new materials to crochet with old t shirts etc So impressed with your bags

They say, "Please note, an "official" tension wrench does not fit within the design of the Lock-Proof pen, but you can still pick locks by MacGyvering a tension wrench with a paper clip or bending one of the picks in the pen to use it as a tension wrench." Personally I much prefer your version Jeff 👍 I don't like the tactical look. And let's face it, it'd be pretty useless in a fight. I'd also rather have a glass breaker, seat belt cutter and whistle in the car. Nice one mate 👍 🍻 🍻 🍻
If I ever get around to modding this, I'll make sure to do a follow-up and share how it's working. Just need the guts to cut it up....and an answer to those tiny finger picks!
