So yeah that was mostly around the 40-41 grain mark fired through a 18.5" Tavor 7 using 143gr M62. The Gas system was shut off so I could inspect the casings for signs of overpressure.
Yeah so for those about to go on about it not being riveting footage, yeah I'm just working up the load with no loading data available and being conservative about it. But I record everything so may as well post it. When I get the load worked up I'll push it out over 800 yards and record it in the evening as the sun is setting.
Your telling me, I've been slamming that plate with 7.5x55 and 7.62x51 ever since and even at 30 yards it only dimples a bit where the FMJ strikes. I've still got like 50 rounds of that AP. I do plan on doing more with it and recording it better. Open to suggestions. Next test was at 100 yards on 1/2" AR500 with this same 3/8 plate spaced behind it. I also pulled a few heads that I plan on loading in 7.5x55 in the hope of driving it at around 2800fps
Hey bro,i need your help, please I don't know if it's a problem of my resolution (1600x900) or screen size (20"), but whenever i use the range card i can't see the bottom line (the one where you see how many inch the optic is above the line of bore). This can be annoying where doing some maths for a long range shot.
Anyone still waiting on part 2 after a fucking decade, well hold on to your balls because I'm probably not ever going to revisit this pile of shit. It's possible though
Name the song than. As far as I know from a decade ago I used to use either Arma music or music from a database of free use music. But hey if you say otherwise prove you're claim.
Some parts sounds very similar to other parts of Nell theme in Black Hole Rising, I probably got confused for the bad audio, but idk why you got defensive because of my comment, I wasn't saying it in a bad way.
@Banjo Do you have a video on vehicle respawn inventories? Like how to make cleared or custom inventories after respawn? I feel like Arma needs a good video on respawn module use and expression versus init.
Sorry I never kept any copies of any of these arma mods. I just reviewed them and got rid of them after I was done with them. I'd imagine there must be an alternative at this point that achieves the same effect available, this was a very old mod afterall
I followed all the steps as in the video. But my helicopter doesn't have enough power to take off. Even though the APU is off and the sliders are on fly, the helicopter only takes off for a short time. Then he drops again. As an inexperienced player I would say he doesn't have enough strength to move up. What is my mistake?
I'm glad you found it helpful, I should really at least have a look at how BMS has progressed over the years. It still surprises me how many people find use in such an old video. Glad to see it though
If you're still having issues perhaps you could check something for me. Launch DCS and go into the module manager and see what is installed. Provided a module is installed and when placed in the editor it's placed in either client or player than you should be able to select it. Otherwise that could be a bug, I've not been flying for sometime so I'm not familiar with any current issues that may be going on.
So, as noob as I am to ka-50, can I think that collective brake as trim button for collective (works like pushing trim button and keeping it pushed while moving stick and then release it -> new trim for autopilot). Do I need to push in any situation if im not at alt hold or for example in hover mode (etc using more or less alt hold somehow) ? Am I anywhere near ? :D
It basically allows to altitude adjustment when altitude hold is engaged. To be honest for over half a decade I had no idea what it even was, almost never flew with altitude hold on.
It should, now I'm out of practice but I do launch DCS now and again and the editor still seems pretty much the same more or less. Should just need to select a 109 in the editor and go through the tabs until you see options for the flaregun. I'd be interested to know if it doesn't though, would need to make a new vid
From the perspective of some old boomer who is still used to the Arma 2 editor, the new eden editor looks probably even weirder to me. I'll have to have a look one day
This video is 8 years old, so this is a shot in the dark, but does anyone else find the Mi-48 nearly impossible to transition from forward flight to hover without entering vortex ring state? With other helicopters in arma, its relatively easy to slow down and enter a hover without entering vortex ring state, but the Mi-48 just starts stalling and drops out of the sky, even if you dont decend at all while transitioning to hover. Its driving me nuts.
@@jond3929 Yeah that would be my guess. I've had it happen in DCS quite a few times, probably quite a few vids out there for that to demonstrate it. If you wondered though, my best tip to avoid it would be that if you even so much as think it may be beginning to happen just slip in any direction to start building up airspeed. It's all about sitting in "bad air" so if you get out of that than you should be good.
@@jond3929 Also you have the luxury of being a sim pilot so experiment, get yourself into it so that you can figure out the best way out of it. Figure out the minimum height that you can escape from and keep that in mind in the future.
This is definitely the best of the videos trying to explain notching simply bc it’s not an hour long. But for the sake of everyone here who isn’t a vet… Just say “notching is when ur position urself below and directly next to the enemy’s radar in order to confuse it.”
So.. bear with me on this but, I plan to redo this one and actually narrate it. Due for streaming your chosen platform between now and never. Hold on to your wobble pumps lads
I don't own the upgrade to the KA-50 but looking up it's cockpit you seem to be right, they appear to have removed the laser warning receiver for whatever reason
@@Pathfinder_tua I didn't realize the Abris received an update. I'm somewhat tempted to buy it, if not just to update my old videos. Thanks dude, anything else different you've noticed is appreciated
@@pickinthatbanjo in the mission editor (for the BS 3 version) , you can select to have the 2011 or 2022 version of the airframe. A major difference is the onboard defense system with integrated missile warning. To setup the Blackshark 3 same as the video, select the 2011 version in the mission editor settings and you get the laser warning receiver. :) - Love your videos.
