Hey skywalkerEA. I’m a noob with helicopters. The defective one I got was my very first so I haven’t a clue on any of the parts required to replace. And now I have no desire to try helicopters at this time. Can anyone help out skywalkerEA? Thanks
Thanks for visiting SkywalkerEA. Others said they’ve had success removing their optical sensor. Mine didn’t have one so I’m not sure how that’s done. Can anyone please help out SkywalkerEA? Thanks
Bro - thanks for driving! That was a fun day. That @nehorayshvartz-ux1jp guy is unbelievable. like 70%+ of his routine was low to the ground. AMAZING! Oh yeah - hi Juan - thx for the pic!! @skyboundrc -mikeylikesrc
OhMyGoodness Nehoray! You are an AWESOME radio controller!!! Subscribed to your channel! If you haven’t watched Nehoray fly in person, find a way to make it happen! You won’t be disappointed. Keep on flying. 😊, Mark
Sharing our fun watching Associated Modelers of Sacramento’s (AMOS) Thunder in the Valley Jet Rally 2024 in Lincoln, CA. amosrc.com/product/thunder-in-the-valley-jet-rally/ “This is the largest collection of both EDF and fuel-powered Jets in NorCal. With over 50 of the best pilots in CA and surrounding states. From 1-meter minis to 4-meter monsters the sound, smell and adrenaline are incredible. These aircraft can withstand high speeds and excessive wing loads and are some of the most advanced in the hobby. With 1,000 spectators (over 3 days), this event is great for kids to get excited about RC and generates a tremendous amount of donations for our wounded vets through Healing Hero’s.” Here’s a sampling of the day. Hoping the music from the air show plays in the video. Enjoy. Camera Operator @emem1613. @mikeylikesrc You got me hooked Bro! Please Like and Subscribe. Thanks for visiting and supporting my channel! Hi Larry. You can, as long as the park you’re flying at does not have restrictions (Don’t forget about AMA, FAA and TRUST). The club field is always a nice and safe place to fly. Thanks for visiting. 😊, Mark

Hey Mark, not sure if you’ve still got this heli but I did have an almost fly away issue w/ mine today. My situation was that I continued to get one more landing in after my battery warning beeper went off. It then due to battery failure shot up in sky with very minimal response to throttle down. Without a panic I cut the stop button at aprox 40ft and it came falling back to earth landing in my garden. I then switched out battery and even reinstalled batteries in transmitter to clear possible glitch in system from failure. It seemed to be fine after I did those steps flew again for another full battery pack zero issues 🤷🏻♂️. I’ll take fault for pushing the limit on flight time 1st battery.
The heli remains in the box and tucked away in the garage. I’d love to be able to try flying it but think otherwise. No need to take any chances with it. 😢, Mark
Nice flight, I’m lucky enough to have a park near by dedicated to Rc planes/ helis also. I will muster enough courage to give it a go as well again. I’ll be getting into planes as well 👍🏼. I’m also subbed to your channel
That’s great to hear thatsmyrc! Looking forward to watching your flying videos. Seriously, I’ve found the RC community so helpful. Thanks for your support as well. 😊, Mark

E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) 70mm EDF Jet BNF Basic with SAFE Select and AS3X with Spektrum 22.2V 3200mAh 6S 50C Smart G2 LiPo Battery. Used Spektrum NX8. My first EDF jet. MAIDEN flight at our local flying club! Had to stop the maiden to re-adjust CG and then continued on. Included flight immediately following maiden for performance characteristics. I’ll keep working on my landings hehehe. This trainer EDF is so much fun! Camera Operator @mikeylikesrc. Thanks for filming Mikey. Thanks for coming to support Mike @mllaneta. Well I took the plunge with this 🚁. So I bought it through Amazon. Since they have a guarantee return policy if something goes wild hopefully 🤷🏻♂️I can box it up and return it asap 🚁 🔥 💥 🪦
Oooooo sweet thatsmyrc! Wishing you have great success with yours. I just subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching your maiden flight. 😊, Mark
E-Flite Habu SS 70mm BNF Basic with AS3X and SAFE Select model assembly. My first EDF! Definitely took longer than the 1 hour others can assemble in. Straight forward build. Only hiccup was right aileron was tilted upward while left aileron was aligned. Centered and adjusted ball link linkage on the right aileron. Have fun with your Habu. Maiden video forthcoming. Hi Salman. I suspect it has something to do with the gyro but I’m not sure. Let’s find out. Can anyone please help enlighten Salman and me? Thanks 🙏🏽, Mark
I have an open RMA with Hobbyking. The ORX flight controller was defective. The flutter is indicative of the aileron gain being too high. The the flight controller was over correcting for wind once I exceeded 50% throttle. The ORX tune was out of whack.. The remedy for now was to pull out the ORX and fly without the gyro.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N5gCYuUMH_g.htmlsi=NL3_vWys1nT9ZiVH
Haha.. the A1 is a pretty forgiving airframe when flying raw with no gyro .. I got mine on sale for 86$ with the ORX (total deal) the stabilizer (when working) really makes the plane shine on windy days..
Hi Mark, is this TX16s a 4in1? im looking to get one and wonder what i should be getting, is it as easy to bind to the RC ERA heli as you are showing in this video? thank you!
Hi Denis. Yes. 4-in-1. That was my first helicopter and first attempt getting into RC helicopters so it was difficult for me to program. Credit to Andrej Sturm who created a downloadable file that he shared on his RU-vid channel for all of us - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dCK_8e278ws.htmlsi=KD_nL9a5LqAAfEQ7 - Downloaded, imported, and was up and fly-away crashing 😂. Sticking to fix winged aircraft now. Good luck, Mark
I have the C138 a.k.a. Bell 206, and it has been a joy to fly. I would say give the rotors another try with this one. It has not had the issues of the C189. I also have a C189 of the Army olive drab color variety, and sans optical flow. I've been hesitant to take it out because of all the problems though. Thanks for the video!
Hi Woody! So happy to hear you’re up in the air with your C138. One controller said they tried a tether just in case and all worked out. I’ll stick to my fixed wings for now. Wishing you great flying with your C189. 🙏🏽, Mark
@@emem1613 Thank you, sir! Good call using a tether. Thanks for that tip. Looking a bit too windy today for a proper maiden, so it'll have to be another day. All the best!
Hi Blake. Not sure if it’s supposed to be that way as I’m a newbie to helicopters. Anyone out there able to help please? Hoping we get your answer. 🙏🏽, Mark
@@emem1613 I think its just a natural position. Or maybe the servo was bumped a little . Im sure when you calibrat gyros befor flight the swash will return to level.
I like the no nonsense production and using the fade in fade out transitions. Would have been helpful to have a shot of all the tools needed as the Allen screws were a surprise to me and I didn’t have the metric drivers. Had to order some.👍🏻
@@emem1613 Hi Mark. Don’t mean to pester you but can you tell me what the wire that comes from the tail of the Decathlon is? It is yellow, red and brown and is 3 strands. I’m thinking it is the tail light but was confusing because it looks like the servo type wire. I got the PNP version and there is just a jumble of wires loose. The manual doesn’t explain what they all are so I’m trying to figure it out. I know the rudder, elevator and ailerons wires but that one coming up from the tail is baffling. Thanks for your help!
