You could still have some clogged paint or it could be an issue with the airbrush itself. Another possibility is that your paint is not thinned enough while painting.
I got back into modeling after 45 years. Im retired now. I bought a Master airbrush kit with compressor and 3 brushes,paint etc. $150. Works for me. One is the same as the one in the video

Since this is the only video previewing the Orgoth warjacks I can find, an update for new purchasers: PP has switched over to a dark grey resin for printing these and it is higher quality than the pale grey resin seen here. It's slightly heavier, detail is a bit sharper, and it isn't quite as brittle.
How to get started playing warmachine hordes? Don’t, this game is trash. Breaks my heart too. They really had something special mid run through mark2 save your time and money people this game is a black hole of misery.
If that didn’t work the only thing left to do is completely disassemble it and soak everything in isopropyl alcohol for 24 hours. Unfortunately if that doesn’t work the airbrush may be dead.
Me and my friends are stepping off in MKIII. We aren't excited with what's new (to us is a dumbification of WM), wel all got a pair of sizeable armies each and we won't throw them to the bin. Not only for the money, but for the effort and love putinto painting them. Warmachine wasn't very successful in Spain, and there aren't many communities around. We play only ourselves, but as we live in different towns, we play every 1-2 months, so we won't get bored anytime soon. What's for sure, we'll never go back to Warhammer (I never played, but my friends did and weren't satisfied with GW money grabbing schemes. But I wish all the best luck to Privateer press. I hope this works for them. I wouldn't like them to fail, even though I don't like much their new editions. Maybe in the future we'll step back. As for now, we are legacy players.
Hi Robbin, I stopped your video after a couple of minutes because with every sentence you bring up more questions in my head than you answer them. Since it's called a "how to get started" with this game I expected it to explain what is the goal here, what factions are there and so on. I am sure for someone already played a bit but still is a noob your video is ultra super - i can tell since you sould like a pro at this - but if you just heard about hit and wonder what is it (is it like warhammer?) it's not helpful just yet. Hope no one will hate me now - I love the style and i guess it's good for people with basic knowledge - but I have 0.001 knowledge yet and for me it's too deep in already. Will come back in one or two days when I have more knowledge. See you then.
So now I know this: WARMACHINE is a tabletop miniature wargame set in a fantasy steampunk world. Thank you for the feedback. This video was created before MK4 was announced and is now outdated unfortunately. PP now has army boxes for the new edition of the game.
The new movement is about the only thing I don't dislike about Mk 4. I invested my money and time in those "legacy" units and now I'm being told that if I want to win games I have to chuck most or all of my collection and buy the new ones. A Warmachine battle has rapid attrition. Reducing unit sizes to 3 or 5 models doesn't seem to "streamline" as much as remove much of the game. I never liked theme forces because themes just split each faction into incompatible minifactions. You could limit yourself to only the approved models or be at a disadvantage. The Warmachine University website estimated 6 points of advantage per 25 points of budget and all PP had to do was officialize the discrepancy for players who actually like to build their own armies. I like to use Mechanithralls to cover my Banes but no themes allow it. Mk 4 has Cadres, which are themes renamed. This doesn't streamline game play, it just straitjackets you when building your force. I realize that what appeals to me doesn't correlate to company profits, but PP has taken away almost everything I liked about the game. From the word Go, Mk 4 looked like a waste of my money, and everything I learn about it just gives confirmation.
The way MK IV was announced is really bad. It's almost like they don't believe in their own game. Also, their business model sucks! I am not giving them any more money until they get that under control, and it doesn't sound like they care to. Forcing us to buy new armies is not the way to do this. Finally, I don't like most of the rules changes. Most of them speed up the game but at a cost of losing tactical plays. Not sure I like a single change they've made to the rules. I'll be sticking with MK III. Noone plays this game at any of the stores near me anyway. And as others have pointed out, AoS did not end the use of WH Fantasy miniatures. You could still use 90% of your miniatures in AoS. Also, AoS is not a new edition of WH Fantasy. It's an entirely different game. GW has shitty business practices, but they did a better job with AoS than PP is doing with MK IV.
This will probably be the nail in the coffin for PP as far as I am concerned. I got into this with the B&W Prime and have a sizable Khador force. I rode through all of Mk2 and started Mk3 but drifted away from it. The bloat began matching that of GW which I had left before starting Warmachine. Everything got bigger, and bigger, and bigger but things were not getting better. I was also a big Monsterpocalypse fan who like many of such people were very let down when the game was left to wither and die with no comment. We worked hard to keep interest alive and when we heard it was coming back there was much rejoicing. Then PP announced they changed the scale just enough to obsolete EVERYTHING we owned. I would have bought some of the new stuff for certain if I could have also used my old stuff. Instead they behaved like a spouse who walked out after draining my bank account only to come back years later expecting me to pay again to welcome them back. I, and a great many others, bought NOTHING for Monsterpocalypse. With Warmachine I can fully understand needing to have a limited range for the reboot. The bloat had become impossible to cope with and was killing any prospect of new players. I can see a new line coming out but this should have been based on core units such as were in PRIME. Add some new ones in for snazy new models people will buy with the new mechanics and have new sculpts for the old ones as you know some will race out for them but allow those who have armies already to walk straight into Prime with what they have. Instead PP is doing exactly what they did to me with Monsterpocalypse and expecting me to buy their product twice. If this is the case I am done with all things PP for good.
They are not inserts believe it or not. I use apoxie sculpt to fill the recess in the base and then used a green stuff world cobblestone texture roller.
You probably won't see this but I hope you do. I have the same exact setup and I paid the same price you did on Amazon. I really like my Master airbrush. I don't do any fine detailing with it though which is fine. I clean my airbrush the same way you clean yours but I have a question. Where are the rubber seals in this brush and do you ever replace yours? I have looked inside the brush but don't see anything. Thanks in advance!
Well I am in a straight up wait and see mode. I don't like anything on offer for mk4 so far. I will just keep playing mk2 garagemachine. If PP does not go belly up with this ridiculously slow release cycle, I look forward to them releasing something I actually like. But right now I am just indifferent, I hope they get it together, but I am not holding my breath. Then there is the total lack of support for hordes players, kinda feels like disrespect if I'm being honest, yes i know hordes lags behind warmachine, but you would hope they could change it. But I am glad I did not get the trollblood army I was looking to pickup before Christmas, i went with mcp stuff.
As someone who has played warmachine for years at both a casual level and at the top of the competitive meta at the WTC. PP have done what I thought they could never do. And they've completely turned me off the game entirely. Well played PP. Well played.
from what I understand Mark IV will do the bare minimum for a player that wants 2 use his old models and will do everything 2 sell you new ones (as in new faction , I have no problem with buying more in2 my current armies) and will make you put old ones one the shelf that may work in card game but for me models are not a pieces of cardboard you paint then , convert , find a way to transport and use then for decades this business model is not something that I look for in games using miniatures so I'm really not looking forward to Mark IV
Well ya can't expect your minis to last forever. EVERY miniatures game has had older models that eventually cycle it. And PP gave a very good explaination as to why.
@@Johnsilver3000there's is a difference when an old model is replaced with a new one and when a model (or rather a bunch of whole factions ) lose rules and are no longer playable
@@comitechoam8143 not exactly all existing models will have MK4 "not competitive mode" rules and only 2 lists per old faction will have MK4 "competitive" rules as far as I know
@@TheGrunaldi You said that models lose rules, which is false, as all models will have rules, some more competitive, some less (like any other game). Besides, why are you so sure about the rules not being competitive? No one knows how unlimited format is going to shape up
This all sounds bad as a previous mk2 player. And talking about PP throwing a bone to old players with unlimited, and how the company needs to survive, it sounds like quasi-charity. What I mean is, I have no care about the business I’m buying a product from outside of the product. If the business model must include invalidating models, then that’s a business I think should fail, as I want none of it. Much like theme forces was just blatant customer manipulation. I also don’t expect legends models to be supported very long beyond being a bridge to get existing players into mk4. After some time, it’ll be axed. When GW makes anti-consumer changes, it sucks, but they’re the largest player on the block, and if you want the highest chance of getting a minis game in, you’re inclined to grin and beat through it. PP no longer has a customer base large enough to mention, and certainly not one the size to withstand a series of sweeping changes that does include anti-consumer ones. Warmahordes used to be a great game, but I think what’s happening now are the last death throes of the company.
Near the end you say that GW didn't give people rules to play with their old models when they launched Age of Sigmar, but that's not accurate. GW released free PDFs for basically everything in the existing range so people could play AoS for free with the models they already owned. Granted, there were rules about dancing and having a long beard on some of the models, but the rules were totally free. They've also continued making rules for many of the old range. Almost everything ever made for Skaven is still in the latest version of the game.
Unlike Magic, "legacy" lists in miniatures wargaming is where units and models go to die. See also: GW's maneuvers a few years ago. Between that, and shifting from metal/restic/styrene into 3d printing, as opposed to Siocast, suggests that PP are not in a healthy state. At all. They've just alienated a sizable section of their core player base, are slow-rolling their core army releases, and are looking like they're going to be amplifying their already existing, and long-time supply chain issues, due to the economy of scale issues that come with 3d printing. If these guys survive another 3-5 years, I will be amazed. It's not the Mk. 2 heyday, anymore, and the market has shifted, brutally, outside of Privateer's favor. They aren't aiming for a displaced GW player's newly unspent cash anymore, they're having to compete with games that are as accessable, or more, with some combination of nicer models, more community goodwill, cleaner rules, and/or easier to hobby models, in a tighter economy. It's not really looking good for them.
Just to point out, your age of sigmar metaphor is entirely incorrect. All the WHFB models got rules (crazy and weird) but it was one of the things that wasn’t as stupid about the initial release
I did get corrected on that. It was pointed out that only Tomb Kings and Britonians got the ax where as everything that did get rules were forced to re-base everything from squares to circles.
I wait and see if PP actually supports unlimited…in the end it’s no different than just playing kitchen table magic, so ppl don’t need PP to support it cuz I could alway just play with my old models in a casual setting with someone so no need to give a kudos to PP for making my time and investment in their game obsolete
As a ret player I am washing my hands of PP. I will look at the product in a few years. My faction is gone my meta was already in shambles. I am just gonna go play a game from a company that is not telling me the reason I got into the game is gone and garbage. Making retribution into discount cryx as iOS vampires is just a hard pass. If I wanted to play cryx I would have.
I can understand not liking where they took the lore. I personally don't mind it, I have just about everything for Ret in doubles, but your view on what happened is still very valid.
@@zephy64 I dont fault anyone for liking it. I know my local cryx player is hype on dusk. Doug is most likely doing most of the sculpting work, so the models will be beautiful. I just cannot make the leap from we are trying to save the elf gods and stop the loss of elf souls. Then ending up at the soulless are lunch, yummy. I will likely end up with what ever coc or skorne get morphed into. Unless they miss the mark. But given the khador and cygnar revamps I cannot see them messing up short of just deleting them or "butchering" the lore into something heavily revised.
The only thing that concerns me is the glacial pace of releases. I know theres alot to do, and a ton to get ready, but having four main factions for friends to beat each other up with is important. Especially since now, the legacy models are a pain to come by (I guess they have for awhile) I am returning after leaving in mk2 (mostly because of poor community players in my local meta) and trying to come by some old stuff to try out is nightmarish. I just was hoping to see... well... more? More available at launch anyway. For me, I guess the biggest problem... is imma have to drop like.. a grand on all the new hotness. Previews went up today and daaaaaaaaaaamn...
As an admitted filthy casual, I will likely play mostly Unlimited. That format will allow me to play with all the cool models I've bought. But, I will definitely try some Prime games, and I'm rather tempted by that Storm Legion army.
The new unit movement is ported straight from Warcaster and works well. The new twist is unit engagement, as there is no engagement in Warcaster, just if a model is in melee range or not. It will be interesting to see how it works out. I will be starting with the new Khador (Khador was my first army back in mk1) but I am hoping for some cool new Zu inspired Warbeast centric armies in the future. A totem hunter raiding part army would be so awesome.
me and my meta will probabely stick with legacy if we play at all. I left magic because I didn't what to spend absurd quantities of money in "standard" to keep up, and having to buy AND paint a new army every few years/or months just to keep up... f'it.
honestly the sku stuff is their own fault from refusing to move to multi kits. As well they have stated not every pre existing will be getting new armies. aka the ones they either destroyed in the lore of had leave the western part of the continent.
