I like the 80's Chicago.mJordan was amazing and the team pla fast and clever. But I adore the Celtics choreography: they don't play, they dance. But most of all, it delights me how DJ play against MJ, the allegedly best player of all times. Of course Denis Johnson was one of the great players of the 70's and 80's.
This is when everything came to together. The right draft picks in Robert Jones, Darren Woodson, Jimmy Smith (Jaguars great), and Kevin Smith. Getting Thomas Everett at safety in free agency and FINALLY the last puzzle piece in Charles Haley from the 49ers. Everything was in place and the 92 season would never be the same.
I used to have all 3 championship videos when I had vcr thank God for RU-vid thank you so much loved these videos and sports illustrated year in sports 90s
I never wanted Chicago to lose so badly as this game. "Where's Michael? Where's Michael?" If he has the ball, he's shooting 'cause he sure can't pass. Three assists---big whoop. He seems determined not to be a team player.

Dropping 63 pts on what most people agree to be the greatest team ever is just one reason why he is the goat, and there was no-one better than him during THIS particular time too.
Always the team player Worthy would kind of pick his spots and let Kareem and Magic do their thing. But come playoff time he would suddenly be ‘the guy’ and could give you like a 33 and 10 stat line in a big game. I recall a regular season game against the Celts. With Magic out Worthy just kept posting up and went to work - he ended up with 35 that night. No easy buckets - all on set offense.
I found Game 2 on RU-vid for those who wish to continue the series (or see MJ's scoring record): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wFMN_IQR3lM.html
11:11 I will always remember this moment when Isaiah Lord Thomas make a bounce PASS for a sort of alley-hoop dunk and THREE East All-Stars jumped in the air at the same time trying to dunk the basketball! I had forgotten which year this took place. Thanks for uploading this and allowing me to confirm which NBA All-Star Game it was!!!
They snubbed Kevin Johnson this year! He should have been here over Eaton and Kareem and over Duckworth! Poses me off. It ruins players careers when they’re snubbed. Only one point guard ? lol Kevin Johnson definitely should been here!!! Kj was top 3 best point guard this season!!! I’d put him second actually behind Magic Johnson!!! Suns had way better record than Portland. So Kevin should been over duckworth. Suns had better record than Utah too! So Kevin should been there over Eaton too! He would been their second point guard! This is Kevin’s biggest snub but was snubbed 3 times
I had this on VHS when I was in 7th grade, one year after the Cowboys won the Super Bowl. I loved these NFL Films productions and the Steve Sabol Super Bowl Highlights films back then. That is where my love for football history began. Thank you for uploading this. Thought I'd never see it again.
The only way I could see that being a travel is if he slid his right foot before he stepped with his left to shoot. If they called the travel because he stepped with his left foot to shoot that is not a travel as long as you shoot or pass, once you lift the pivot foot….. maybe it’s because he didn’t jump. Hard to tell what they thought maybe not a good angle so it confused the ref. He did get pushed though. Some questionable calls in this game also that traveling on Jerry sichthing (spelling) was not a travel that was more offensive foul, but they didn’t want to give him one. He was an amazing role player man
Too much iso ball he says. As compared to today??? Moron watch the video the Celtics were dropping dimes all game. Even the commentators kept harping on the Bulls iso style of play
Today is boring, that's why your ratings ARE LOWER THAN WHALE FECES! ratings were higher here. Ratings matter! Nobody cares about AAU. Schematics and real set plays are far more effective.
Classic team basketball by the Celtics, too many weapons for the young Bulls. Little did the world know what game 2 had in store in terms of fun basketball and historical performances
Fucking Basketball thank God. You could really post these games daily and you would get more attention then the NBA now, but Thank you really. I been wanting to watch some real basketball for some time now ❤
I believe that regular season Home Game record o believe still stands today. That is one of the Arguments that the 86 Celtics were the best team to ever play.
@@whataboutrob442 I don't think so because the teams in the NBA then were not that strong except for the Lakers and maybe the Sixers. These Celtics are overrated lol.
