So many great ones coming out this month! I’m so excited for Laura Pavlov and Devney Perry! Crossroads made me cry like a baby 😭 Phantasma also sounds really great! I hope your month is full of great reads! 💀
I read the Historical Hellions pick. I love the author’s writing! Hope to join in with the Leave it to the Prose pick. The readathon last month got me back in to Historical Fiction.
I did get the arc of How to Help a Hungry Werewolf and I wouldn’t recommend it. Also, you should read Micaela’s Big Bad by Tijan is a good Halloween romance novella. It has an audiobook and ebook. 💀
I've read all of Kate Quinn's books. Briar Club is an outlier in terms of structure. I don't recommend her books as audiobooks. They usually have multiple POVs and timelines. It can be so confusing as audiobook (at least for me). I keep meaning to finish Homegoing. I will have to think about it like a collection of short stories. I kept getting confused with everyone's names and parents as I went through it.
Interesting about Briar Club! I didn’t have any issues with the multiple POVs or timelines as audio since a lot of audios I do have that as well. Homegoing is amazing, hope you’re able to get to it.
I love historical fiction so I am always looking for recommendations. I have Next Year In Havana on my shelf that I have to get to! I have been wanting to read Homecoming as well.
I definitely will be for September once it’s over! The summer was insanely busy and I had a lot going on so I missed those, but I might just do a mass summer wrap up for June, July, August 🤣
I’m in your neck of the woods and so excited to head to Anchorage to check out this adorable bookstore! Love and Other Conspiracies is a must have❤ Glad I found your channel!
Hi Christi, I'm a big fan of your videos! We are reading The Wraith King in October for my book club, and I'd love to have you as a book club co-host if you are interested!🥰📚
Night by Elie Wiesel is the nonfiction memoir of a Jewish holocaust survivor. He won several highly prestigious awards, including a Nobel Peace Prize. It is a deeply important work. I highly recommend. I loved The Rose Code but I think it resonates better at a slower pace. I'm reading Autumn Bride by Anne Gracie. Cute historical romance.
