I just bought one in Mexico and it belonged to a California school but I’m wondering if you know what is the needle I can use for this beautiful turntable and where would I can find it ?
Ah! this video just saved me from taking a huge risk from taking my unit apart! I had no idea about those adjustment screws, I though my unit was just breaking down from age or something, It'd miss the record when dropping the needle like clockwork every time and I'd build up a habit of catching the arm and placing it manually. I've had this thing for years and I was looking to finally fix the issue. I should have looked this up way sooner! tysm for sharing your knowledge dude! heck yeah

Do you know what needle cartridge that takes? I have one without the cartridge, it was taken for parts, and can cannibalize another turntable, but am holding off. What is the first record title?
This is an ideal phono for playing 78's. It has a GE reluctance cartridge MM type which has a great frequency response. Yet the full range speaker does not reproduce the high frequencies above 13khz, so the reproduction is quite nice.
That looks like a record changer from 1976. I'm not knocking it. My parents bought a compact stereo with that exact changer with platter and cartridge from Sears in 1976. I'll bet it takes the T3MD stylus. It sounds great. Back in 1968 it would have had a four speed changer most likely. Either way, great job on that one.
Hopefully you can tell me if you put a new switch in, and were you Bought the switch, I have the same Problem, will not turn on, I took apart and cleaned switch but still does not work. Thanks Brian

I have an odd question. I have an old magnavox cabinet, the kind with the storage on the left side. It’s giant and looks like a sideboard cabinet. Anyway, for years playing 33s, it seemed SLIGHTLY slower sounding when it played songs..like the words were slightly slowed down. Just barely. Setting was at 33 and everything. Well, on a whim the other day, I put the 45 adapter on with a 33 record and it sounds perfect!? What would cause this? And is there a way to adjust the 33 setting so it plays slightly faster so I don’t have to use the 45 adapter?
I can see that this record player can't handle 80s records to well. The beat on that Chaka Khan record is too hard and it makes the needle skip or scratch.
Sir, my mother has one of these. She is having an estate sale and we don't have a clue as to value. It still plays and functions as well as the day they bought it. Could you shed some light as to what she should expect the estate people to expect for hers ? Thank you.
Found one of these at a thrift store I'm so lost! I can't get it to play a 78, do you have any information on this model? I know the cat. No ended in 5-8046 but the first three numbers are illegible... help!
the Magnovox turntables were so unique on how they could determine the size of the record and also if they were more to play just by the tap of the tonearm on the vinyl, it's so cool to watch , my friends parents had a Magnovox console back in the early 70's and even that recent the tone arms still did the same thing and their console units could kick, they had great sound
Hey Daniel, I’ve got a wire hanging from below the tonearm, I’m trying to figure out where this wire is to go? It seems to be dislodged from 2 prongs but even with the wire hanging it sometimes cuts in and out. There’s two prongs under the tone arm and only one hanging wire. Any help would be greatly appreciate
I love this changer, especially this particular model with the black tonearm. Looks very sophisticated and the pickup arm scan is mesmerizing to watch.
