My name is Bobo and I do Animated reviews of Lego Sets, Transformers, Bakugan, and other collectibles. Sometimes I talk about games, and sometimes I talk about random shows that I remember exists.

Maybe you should pick up the Extremis, seeing as it is sleeker and closer to the Armoured Adventures you’re talking about. Imo, this is the Iron Man armour that everyone would instantly think of when it comes to his modern suits, being the most iconic. This (Pentagon armour) and the Extremis. Even the artists of its comic issues couldn’t differentiate the two. This one resembles the *The Invincible Iron Man* (2007) animated movie.
I was looking into the Extremis Armor for an Armored Adventures style suit. But I just ended up going with this one, probably just because I think it looks a bit cooler. You may be right though when you say this is armor people may think of since it is pretty iconic. At least for me, I sort of picture something like this in my head. Though I didn't know it resembled the armor from The Invincible Iron Man animated movie. I've heard of it, but never seen it.
I have an enormous collection of Pokemon DVDs. All the Complete Seasons released so far, every movie, a few special collections, and even a bit more than that. DVDs are the BEST way to watch this show because you don't have to worry about which streaming service owns which seasons; you just grab a disc, plop it in your player, and enjoy the show. The films on Blu-ray, on the other hand, are a mixed bag. Yes, they're the best-looking, but there are drawbacks. All of them are missing the Pikachu Shorts, and there's still a few movies that haven't gotten a Blu-ray release at all in the West (Lucario and Pokemon Ranger), not to mention the one and only Blu-ray release for the Miramax films were all films on one disc and they barely look any better than the DVD transfers--PLUS that disc is super expensive these days. Pokemon fans who want to watch any of Movies 4 through 9 in HD are kind of out of luck. I've resorted to importing a (very expensive) Japanese Blu-ray collection of the first 13 movies and watching those instead, since they're better transfers, they include ALL the films and the Pikachu Shorts, and it's fairly simple to add on an English language track using a USB drive.
I did see The Power of Us, I thought it was pretty good. Not my favorite Pokemon Movie, but it's probably up there. I can't say too much though since that was a few years ago at this point, sorry if it's not as detailed as you wanted. I never saw Secrets of the Jungle sadly. I do want to watch it at some point though.
5:22 The picture picture quality on this dvd is bad, it should of been a two disc set, being four movies on 1 disc is bad, the compression is really bad the movies like they are on a vhs, it also takes forever to load, the singles do not have theses issues, they look great compare to this set, the only good part of this set is that all the movies are in widescreen, besides that this set sucks.
The irony is that the Cass figure is from two prior Barbara figures (including the accessories). They're both all right but--- the head and plastic cape hinder any real fun to pose them in. I'm glad Cass came in when McFarlane began doing these wired capes because a character like her benefits greatly from it. This is a character you want to do insane poses with cause she puts the action in action figure. Like you, I wasn't much into McFarlane (I really was kitbashing a prior Babs figure with an unmasked Batwoman Beyond as a "modded) Cass. Since then I've added like ten more figures with a tenth on the way (Tim in his current costume though I bought three other Cass's two to mod and one to just keep in the package). If you truly want to get the full effect get a second Cass and then use the Batwoman Beyond unmasked head as an unmasked face. As a bonus, her fists are compatible with Cass's (though you'll have to use the nail polish to tighten the fists of Batwoman Beyond and the head a bit of sticky tack to stick on her ball joint). If that doesn't work the Rebirth Batman (Jim Gordon) has fist hands that are larger and peg better.
Oh yeah, I bought up that this Cass is made from 2 previous Batgirls. But the wired capes does a LOT to make it a whole lot more fun with action poses. Ooo, you picking up Tim, is it the new Rebirth Tim? If so, I was also thinking of getting him. The problem is all those hands, yet no staff. That's his signature weapon, so I might wait for a repaint in a more classic looking suit with a staff. This is just me guessing that would happen, so it might, but it wouldn't surprise me if it does. And thanks for the suggestion with the Cass mod. I was looking into getting Batgirl beyond for the head and doing what you said. Then they basically sold out because everyone had the same idea lol. But dang, I didn't know the hands were compatible, that does a add a lot.
Yeah, the new Tim from Infinite Frontier or whatever era the current costume is from. Ditto on no bo staff. However, given how many 3D customizers are out there. We'll get a staff one way, or another (just buying it on eBay). I'm not surprised given the look is the perfect one you could fudge it. Yeah the hands are loose if you try them on the current pegs. But a little nail polish does do the trick in tightening them on the ball peg.
True, it should be pretty easy to get a staff. He comes with some gripping hands, so it is doable for him to hold it. I had to check though since I didn't want this to be another Titans Nightwing situation. As in the sculpt is good, but has no open hands to hold anything even if you buy a custom part. And noted, if I ever see Batgirl beyond I might end up picking it up.
I choose you looked awesome, wished the others had the same quality. But expect for Genesect, have watched all the movies that was shown in the video and love them, even though the discs and the cover wasn’t all good XD. Amazing video you made
It’s ok if there wasn’t a menu section, your video still came out great. I think if your computer has a screen recording feature, maybe you can try filming the menu through there.
Fun story, I actually did. It just didn't work out nearly as well as I expected, so I returned it. So I'm gonna try to find another way to capture footage. But either way I don't think it matters, I want these videos to be about the packaging and presentation of the DVD's itself over the menus on the disc.
I wish Spinmaster got the 6 inch license for DC, Their PlayStation and League of Legends 6 inch figures have great articulation and are possible unlike Mcfarlanes unnecessary detailed sculpting and inaccuracies. I’ve seen improvement with Todd’s soft capes but there is still too many issues with mcfarlane toys.
That'd be pretty cool, but Spin Masters League of Legends seems to have not done very well and hasn't had a new release in a year. Their Playstation stuff does look really good though. I wouldn't mind seeing what kind of figures they could make for DC.
Oh yeah it is similar, it's partially why I picked this one out of all the recent Iron Man releases. Just still, there is a part of my brain that wants the "perfect" release which I see as the Infinity Saga Mark 3 but in more classic colors. Mainly because that suit from the show is based on that movies suit but in bright colors. Probably because the 3d models couldn't have those bright shiny metallic colors.
I love your idea for a MAWS toy line, I feel like the main reason we didn’t get one from spinmaster was because the show airs on adult swim and it would be hard make kid toys for a show airing on the network.
You know I haven't thought about that. That actually makes a lot of sense. I don't know why it took till now to realize that. Maybe a McFarlaneToys DC Multiverse Wave would have made more sense.
@@BoboDoesAnimation It was supposed to originally air on Cartoon Network so I honestly believe there was supposed to be a toyline for the series to fill in the no movie gap for spinmaster but when it got on adult swim Spinmaster decided to do comic versions of the movie characters (Blue Beetle and Black Adam) and the Batman 85th anniversary as Batman sells, but for a mcfarlane wave I think it would be a BAF Parasite with Superman, Lois, Jimmy, and Deathstroke armored, Clark Kent would be a gold label
@@Sergeant_Sol You know, I'm okay with that. Figures for this show would have been cool but comic versions of current movie characters is pretty cool too. But that McFarlane BAF wave sounds pretty cool. Seems like something they'd do, but not really Jimmy and Clark. I don't see them doing more than 1 civilian figure per wave, so they'd maybe do Lois. Otherwise I could see them doing Silver Banshee, Livewire, and maybe Jor-El to add some more good guys to it. But just as figures, I'd say yours is better. I would get that wave, I just don't see them doing it.
@@BoboDoesAnimation yeah I k know there are those who love mcfarlane dc multiverse line but it’s a little too inconsistent for me too many Batman and Superman, unnecessary variants, lazy remolds like how Todd is using a mold for a figure of himself for superboy, hopefully someday we get atleast a Superman fig from this series
@@Sergeant_Sol That's fair, I agree it's extremely inconsistent. Funnily enough I get into that in my next video. But I do agree with too much Batman and Superman, it's just even with all that. I still can't get the very specific one I want. I'll probably grab a Batman someday but none of the Superman really do it for me. Wait really? The new Superboy uses the Todd mold from that Spawn 2 pack? It's probably not gonna be that good but that is really funny. Thanks for letting me know.
Great review. I'm a casual ML collector and this fits my taste. Good to see you upload again bro. Keep it up. Your style is something I enjoy. Minor criticism: you might want to use a different track as background since this has become synonymous with JobbyTheHong, hope you'll find a track that represents "you"
Noted, I have been starting to look for other sources of music and trying to get something to work. I'll give it another shot in an upcoming video. And I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate it. :)
Another idea for a boxset could be the Kyptonian Empire made of Nemesis Omega, The Warrior, and Brainiac. The play features would likely be glow in the dark, face reveal, and or both. And would likely get single releases as a season 2 based on so far with Nemesis Omega and Brainiac becoming renamed army builders. With Supergirl being likely having a new mold. But that's what I think.
Ooooo, that's a good one. I didn't even think of using the the Kypton based villains for a box set, and using them as foot soldiers is an excellent idea. That could really give you a lot of generic villains to fight while still being on brand with the show. Supergirl is another good pick. I thought of her too but since it was based around just season 1, I left her out. If I do another one of these videos in future, I'd definitely include her.
I think that's pretty fun too, I won't be getting it anytime soon since it's $30 and that way to expensive for 1 car. But yeah, I think it's a good set. I do agree that it is worse than the Miles car though, but still a decent car on it's own. But that could change if I ever end up getting it.
Amazing review as always. The set does look pretty cool. As a Speed Champions collector I highly recommend the line. The builds are amazing with really great techniques. Although nowadays you may want to be careful with buying certain licensed cars because of a certain war going on...
Love the snakes in the core sets, their colour scheme is great and the designs aren't too techy but not too barren for me. Shame they're not canon to the show
Oh are they supposed to be tech based? Yeah I could see that, and same. I think they look great. It is a shame they aren't canon to the show, I don't think they even appeared in the core shorts.
Hey, so I don't know if I'll have a video out this week but I forgot to mention something. I actually did start playing Batman Arkham Asylum and yeah it's alright. Haven't finished it yet but I've enjoyed what I played so far.
Hey! Amazing video, so keep up the work! I just wanted to say that the logo on the bottom-right of Kai’s torso is just the Ninjargon equivalent for ‘K’ (i.e. Kai’s initial)
@@BoboDoesAnimation I have many sets of the « old » ones but I don’t remember the series. In the new version, I really love the designs, the characters and the stories. I like the way the main characters care about each other.
@@MaggiesLegoFriends That's understandable, I do recommend checking out some of the older series then. It's basically more of that with a different animation style.
