There is a stationary video here on YT where a woman is wearing a ball chain Good Art bracelet…for years I’ve gone back to that video and looked at the bracelet, trying to find some identifying mark on it. Finally a Good Art short popped up one day, featuring the same bracelet, I’m so excited to have finally figured out what it was and am going to order one this week.
If it were me ordering again, I would go for the TL pair. This is due to the slimmer profile of the shoe. I have worn the TL ones far more as a result.
The normal versions are definitely the more comfortable of the two. Although both comfortable, I find that the TL pair suffer slightly from the lack of padding and (for me at least) there seems to be slightly less support in the left foot on the TL pair. Regarding the leather, I have found the white calf to be much more hardwearing. On the burgundy pair, the laces have caused abrasions on the leather. Were I to pick again I would probably get the normal pair in white calf I think due to the extra padding and the white being more hardwearing generally (except when comes to bleeding denim).
I bought a pair and immediately had to get rid of them. They were, by far, the MOST incomfortable shoe I have ever worn. The leather, specifically on the tongue, was so stiff that every time I took a step the tongue would just dig into the top of my foot because it did not flex AT ALL! Absolutely horrible. It was extremely well made, but that doesn't matter if you can't even wear it.
Hi mate, Sadly the strap for the hip monkey is 2” (50mm) wide. The fidlock slider (and pretty sure the same applies to the Fidlock v-buckle) comes no bigger than 40mm. It is why I went for the ITW nexus one in the end. Hope that is helpful!
Very nice video dude thanks for posting it. There's a real lack of Crown shoe videos on YOutube and as far as I know this is the best comparison between the regular and TL designs! In my opinion the only type to buy is the slimmer TL, whether it be Summer or Winter! :)
Hi apologies did not see this before. I do wear the TL line ones with low pro socks and have had no issues. Regarding the Horween ones, I did find that the padding rubbed a bit!
Love this brand - thanks for posting. Aim to get some soon. P.S I reckon you could use leather keyfob as a shoehorn - they might have even made it for that!
It took at least twenty business days for both pairs, probably about five weeks in total. I would say it is unlikely that they will come before Christmas, as (from my experience anyway) some factories tend to shut down just before Christmas. You may be lucky though! Hope you enjoy them
Hello, What size buckle did you use for the mystery ranch hip monkey? I agree that the fidlock buckles are much better. I wish they made a dual adjustable buckle in the larger size.
Hi there, it is a 50mm. You need to buy the male and female parts of the buckle separately and they will both need to be the ‘adjustable’ type (basically provides the bar to feed strap through).
Thanks for this. I have a seamaster and wondered if this bracelet would be good enough to wear at the same time. Having a difficult time deciding which size to go with.
Hey mate, Approximate measurements in inches - Wrist - 7.4” (measuring tape fairly snug around wrist) Bracelet from end to end (including clasp etc) - 8.6” Bracelet (links only from end to end) - 6.8”
@@mrandmrscorona8658 I would say that the padded version is slightly more comfortable as a bit more supportive around the ankle but, aesthetically, I definitely prefer the TL version as looks slimmer on the foot. Hope that is helpful.
Hey mate, it is indeed Horween CXL in No8. Do love the number 8 as a general rule. Have a pair of trickers in that colour and they gave aged beautifully and go with basically anything!
Thanks mate. It is a custom one that I had made by ‘After Midnight London’. Super reasonable pricing and the construction is top notch. Basically I told him what I wanted after browsing their website/instagram. Karl was super helpful, so much so that ordered another custom zip wallet from them. If helpful will happily post a couple of videos.
Well I just threw them on for reference as they had not been taken to be shortened yet so closest thing to hand. Glad you liked the sneakers though, the whole point of the video was to provide a reference for people wanting to buy a pair, rather than showcasing my poor choice of trousers 😂
@@NL-ek7lg you ruined it with the trousers mate, I was feeling it, until they came on the screen. Sort that out for next time, thanks. Appreciate video though
Thanks for making this video, I ordered a pair of the hand stitched collection in buffalo tan, looking forward to them eventually arriving. A quick question, Did you get the F or G fitting?
Glad to hear you found it useful! You know, I cannot remember whether the option was even there when I ordered as do not remember selecting anything re. The width and just double checked the order also, with nothing showing up. The tan will be a great choice indeed!
First time customer. Ordered one pair of sneakers on June 8, 2021. Got a “dispatch” estimate of 10-25 days initially. A few days before my expected ship date I received a new “estimate” of an additional 5-10 days delay. COVID and a high order volume was the excuse. So more than weeks to get a made to measure, not custom made mind you. This is ridiculous! Bordering on incompetent production management. COVID has been around for over a year. There are solutions. But none have been implemented. Instead they just keep pushing back delivery dates. Not a recipe for success in my mind. Quality may be top notch but do customers have to put up with incompetence? Arrogance maybe? What a way to destroy a reputation!
I'm not sticking up for Crown by any means, but I'm looking to buy a pair of these myself and the current waiting time is up to 35 days. The UK is suffering with absenteeism due to government telling people to isolate. Where I work, 25% of the workforce are self isolating. It makes hitting delivery targets impossible, but it's not due to management incompetence at all. I'm ordering my sneakers today and can't wait to receive them (although I must!). I do hope they are as special as everyone says.
Ordered mine June 16th also got the delay, unlike you though I have patience and understand they are probably slammed with orders because of Rose Anvil mostly and maybe the Kavalier as well. Also it's pretty hard to find skilled labor nowadays in most of the west thanks to globalization/slave labor/fast fashion.
I bought Red Wing Boots 04/2020 during covid and didn't received them until 02/2021... I hope it doesn't take that long for you... I recommend patience.
Just an update on my order. They did arrive last week, after 41 working days. Well worth the wait as they are amazing! They absolutely ooze quality, and the leather looks, feels & smells fantastic. I will buy another pair in the near future 😀
This really isnt enough of a deal to get this harsh about it. They delayed your pair - Oh no! reputation destoyed!" absolutely incompetence! Close up shop right now guys you heard ed de jesus... And btw they are made to order so yes, they start making them once you order from scratch. customising wouldnt really increase wait time in this case. For basically the best sneaker on the market right now i dont think its ureasonable to give them some leeway in these times. Who know maybe crucial staff was actually ill. you dont just replace someone easily in that market. Northhampten aint exactly the place to be in england. My interactions by them were always stellar. Very happy customer.
Great info! Definitely not enough videos on these shoes. I can't wait for mines to arrive. I ordered a pair of Overstone Derby in No 8 chromexcel May 19th. It is now June 25th and still have not gotten a shipping notification yet... 😞
Glad to hear you found it useful! Their website is a bit shocking in that regard. I would say give it another two weeks and if not heard from them just drop them a message. They are pretty quick at responding to queries/emails etc. I think my first pair took four weeks from order to be dispatched and the second pair was six weeks from order. They did get delivered very quickly though when they were sent out (but I am in the Uk).
@@mrandmrscorona8658 Yes. It took almost another two weeks from when I commented. They look fantastic and are very comfortable. Definitely on another level compared to the mass brands.
Thanks for posting. Rarely to see reviews on crown northampton! rose anvil uploaded a video when he cut them in half , so you can see how they are built.
