Dang i just used that exact tip cleaner to clean my carb jets... Just bought some replacement gaskets and and jets and a few other parts come with the kit, so hopefully im okay.. only used the smallest one to poke through the gunk, but i did really get in there in other places.
Hey thanks for the video 1question when adjusting the points do i want them to close on the fire mark? is that how i get the light to dim is when they close u mention adjust the points but dont tell me how.
Excellent video, well laid out and logical. Motorcycle industry technical writers could really hone their craft by following your lead when they “attempt” to write and edit shop manuals. Well played, my friend 👍🏻
Some sparkplug caps are 5K some are 10K depends on what the bike is suppose to have according to the manufacturer .Some have are non resistor caps. If you use resistor plugs you can use non resistor caps.
What do you do with them after you catch them? I have at least one or two in my garage. All attempts with regular mouse traps has failed. They manage to get the food and escape.
This seemed to be the best method for me. However after 2 attempts on the ground I had to jack my vehicle up and lower the A-frames on blocks, so suspension was holding the weight, and tires were free.
This is genius! I have just purchased TWO 2012 Honda CBR250r motorcycles. The red one has a sizeable but not creasing dent in the right side of the tank, plus it is fuel injected so it has a sizeable entrance hole in the bottom of the tank tank for the fuel pump. i can see now this is going to WORK...Thanks...Al
a bit unclear to me still. By pushing the screwdriver down a few times is what sort of resets it? You do not have to open up the case, as you said, to see it? So line up top by matching the line, then push with screwdriver a bit? thanks
Had one 17 yrs yes they are by nature hard to start ,or if you stall it on the trail or worse yet have it go down ,then go thru the flooded procedure rest 5 min then start,
You should not pure lots of grease down your drain. A drain snake would work better. If the sink drains very slowly, wait till it goes down. Then you could pour boiling water down the drain to melt the grease. If you want to plunge it you will have to block the other sinks drain so you will build some pressure. Hope that helps.
this was the only video on a honda timing that used a dwell meter, never knew this was what they were for! will pick one up to set timing on my 360 thank you
Nice trick! I've been doing electrolysis on my gas tank for the past few weeks and it's got a couple small spots pushed in a bit. This strategy should work well after watching how it worked for you.
This is awesome. I had a leak in my V-Star 1300 and took it to a local repair shop. They charged me $300 to try to fix it with JB Weld. I drove it home and parked it in the garage and an hour later smelled gas again. What a waste of time and money. I'm going to pull the tank off, clean up their mess, and solder it myself. The old saying, _"If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."_ couldn't be more true. My wife has been bedridden for the last 9 months due to a severe case of sepsis that she had right after xmas. We just had a nurse show up and replace her catheter. Right after the nurse left my wife said that it felt like she had to pee. The nurse had put the catheter in her v-jayjay!!! I pulled it out and just put in a new one myself. For all you youngsters that are reading this, take it from a 60+ year old -- It seriously pays to learn how to do as many things yourself as you can. It will save you a TON of money and, even if you "normally" hire someone to do something, you can make sure they are doing the job right and you can fix their fuck-ups in an emergency.
Is it bad that i adjusted the rough adjustment while the engine was running? It sounds alot better now it seemed to take alot of the slack out and advice would be appreciated
I would not adjust the rough adjustment with the engine running. The cam chain could skip a tooth doing that. Do the rough and fine adjustment as described in the video. Then you can do the fine adjustment with it running.
Thanks for the good idea! With water that hot, isn't there a concern with melting the wax ring? I may try it with the spray gel on the bowl and the water in the tank. Maybe cold water and let it sit longer.
