How and when is the inventory DB getting populated? And once an order is placed, shouldn't it decrease the number of items from product DB as well as Elastic search cluster?
you are throwing the new data added into the HotelSRC->MySqlDB into the kafka Then in this case only recent hotels will be displayed in the search of the user right... then old hotels data will be in the database idle know
Iam a fresher and tomorrow is my Interview of system design but after watching this video I think sytem design is too much for fresher....I cleared 1st round, In my 1st round they gave me 2sum problem and deletion of anode, they are giving me 3lpa with 1yr bond.
Instead of fetching all the data from Tweet Service for passive user, upon login we can put it into kafka that it is now active and the Tweet Processor / Timeline service will generate the timeline and store in redis.

If token value is 100M, Base62 gives 5 char length output only. I think in order to generate 7 character length base62, the token value should start from 62^6. How to keep those ranges of tokens which are in between 62^6 and 62^7?
Thanks for article. Live updates to the Hotel will get published to Kafka and it feeds into Elastic Search. But my question is, Elastic Search only holds live updates or its like a replica of Hotel DB ?

Why input manager sends it to call server directly? Should it not send to some kind of manager which passes it to transcoders and from there to call servers?

Good video. Just one concern, how come room id will have quantity, I think room id represents one room and quantity should always be one. We should have another table which maps room id to booking id.
