I got seasick just watching this. And what an inspiring illustration of the phrase ""entering a safe haven". Another 10 seconds of the safe haven and an outro as a background for youtube's superimposed video suggestions would be nice. 🙂
This is entreing a harbour in extremis ......These Kiwi fishermen consider this as normal... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3Q3cHJyomlo.html
It is impossible to buy any of the fish caught by these boats: none of the local shops sell any; they only have plastic packs of mainly farmed fish from Norway, Turkey, or the far East, of packs of frozen fish from China! I have not seen a herring for years.
There's lots of fish from Brixham, crab from Cornwall etc. at my local fishmonger in S London. Perhaps they send it all up to London or something? Must be annoying they don't sell it locally, though.
@@simonfoster7288 All the supermarkets have shut their fresh fish counters, and traditional fishmongers are like banks. There are now absolutely none in the local towns. Where did they all go?
@@cdl0 Squeezed out by the supermarkets I think, except for locations where they can sell a lot of specialist stuff. Same with butchers and greengrocers, though not to the same degree.
If we banned foreign vessels from our waters. The numbers of fish caught would fall by about 85% and the fishing would be sustainable. Fishing is not the problem, over fishing is the problem.
Wtf are you talking about Those guys are proper men risking there lives to feed all you keyboard warriors and provide for there families People are so far removed from what actual work looks like. it’s sad and pathetic how weak this society is🤡🤡
@@stevegleed5 yes, sitting in front of a computer that allows me to access the sum of human knowledge, which includes all the ways to fish that aren't trawling lol. You didn't think that one through did you
I did it once, on a trawler, KY192, Golden Bells, skippered by the brilliant and charismatic 'Mickey' (Michael) Faulkner. Brilliant one-off experience, but, would I do it again? No. Am I grateful for the experience? Yes. Thanks Michael.
That size of beamer is the end of a era , they wil all go to the scrapper and ( if there is money ) been replaced with a big boy with " state of the art machinery" 🤮🤮👎👎
