Terrible video for a masterpiece tv show. I had to stop due to the loud breathing, squeaking and the sense that the person reacting wasn't getting the material. It's the first (and last) video I tried to watch on this channel, so I apologize if after the first few minutes some or all of the things I mentioned improved. I couldn't make it past 2 minute 20.
I know its 5 years ago since you posted, have watched a couple of times your wife said something that is totaly wrong and i dont agree with, i will explain. during the war, and your wife mentioned women are more nuturing and if you have that in to go fight thats good, what about the women in the war, we would have lost the war, if not for the women, not just being at home, but working in the factories doing the mens jobs, as they were conscripted, 8 million men and women who could not be enlistd, worked in the factories, of the land army for crops, women up to 31 were conscripted, to work as ferry pilots, in the navy the army, nusring roles to support the war effort, those on rations trying to make a family survive They had no choice, but stepped up there is also no reported event of a women leaving her post in the war, if she was killed, another stepped in and took her place
The husband is so controlling! This isn’t a healthy relationship. There's nothing wrong with staying at home with the kids, but this guy is a narcissist. I get the feeling that once the wife gets old and starts losing her looks, then this guy is going to leave.
The British class system stems from kings and their "Divine Right" to rule . as referred to in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" as "Some farcical aquatic ceremony". Whereas the replacement stems from the ruthless exploitation of naturally arising one-to-many economic relationships and the consequential accumulation of wealth of the one over the many. No difference, same principle really. One set of human beings trying to exert mastery and false domain over the rest and thinking-up some morally bankrupt notion to justify their activity.
"He's not going to put you down in public" Hmmm I'm not convinced Your actions should speak louder than words, if your speaking about Jesus he says couples are equally yoked, 2 Corinthians 6:14 so yes they both Must Have a Voice. It's not rocket science
It's not a bad thing to strive to be this kind of person or relationship if that's how things are able to work out but there are times things need to be adjusted and be flexible if she needed to work instead of him would he accept that and still be a better man? Alot of what they're saying is wholesome but . . . There are flip sides to everything and yeah both sides have to give not take. The rock on the back because a child is bad and that is supposed to be a reminder of the love of Jesus. . . Say What?!! This man is Crazy God forgives, he took that weight he didn't give it back for Anyone to walk around with on their back, so if I said he is a fool it would be biblical
You think James McAvoy has a "heavy" Scots accent? Try going to Glasgow and see how you get on.😅 Damian Lewis is an OE (went to Eton) and they are known for their chameleon-like ability to blend in. Hugh Laurie? Another OE - and did you know he has a "blue" - he rowed in the famous Oxford and Cambridge boat race? More British actors: Matthew Goode, Benedict Cumberbatch, Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Worst American actor trying to be "Briddish"? In a crowded field Renee Zellwegger stands head and shoulders above all others - dreadful.
You may want to note that England ceased to be a state in 1707 and became a nation within the United Kingdom and ceased to have any army or navy. To this day it remains directly ruled by the United Kingdom government from Westminster and has no devolved political powers unlike the other nations of the Union who have their own parliaments. In its time England was colonised by the Romans, the Irish, the ‘English’ from across the North Sea, the Danes (and Norwegians) the French and, technically the Dutch. There has been no English monarch of England since Edgar the Atheling succeeded to the throne following the death of Harold Godwinson in 1066. The very English language is a mash up of all it’s past colonisers languages. All of this is a long winded way of saying that you are referring to Britain or the United Kingdom. England is a nation in its own right and not a lazy synonym. Oh, and people forget Sweden. Briefly and just a little bit but there is a tiny British war cemetery on a Swedish island.
Its actually emulating Cricket commentary in the 1950s. Since then rest of Cricket world besides australia have played well against England so its not as the same. But I would not be surprised in the 1950s cricket commentary in England was like this must have been great to listen to radio cricket commentary back then. Must be hilarious.
I'll go and get my baton... it's in Chicago.... Andre Previn was excellent...the other 2 are masters of comedy. The faces of the orchestra, all are convulsed with laughter... such a wonderful skit. Epic.
Jack is a real hero who made his oath and would stand by his pals to the bitter end if necessary. As an Old Contemptible he was there in WW1 from the very start. My great grandfather served in The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, and was in the 1st and 3rd Battles of Ypres, and in the Somme campaign to mention but a few. Towed down to the British Legion Club every Sunday as a lad, I met many other WW1 and WW2 veterans who used this time to discuss the wars. I knew many WW1 men. They were a different breed, and the salt of the earth. I miss them all bless them.
No it's a documented and well known fact it happened. Jeez man bloody clueless yanks. We were not friendly with Germany either they were the invader Do they even send you guys to school out there?
