It's pretty amazing how good of a job cell phones do at recording live music these days. Sure, the compression is a little wonky at times, but man, if you're not amazed, you don't know how good we’ve got it now. Being a fan of punk in the midwest (USA) often requires massive amounts of travel if you want to see your favorite bands, and traveling is expensive… Particularly if you work a soul depleting fast food job (which I have copious amounts of experience with from my youth). I wish RU-vid was around back in those days so I could have at least seen some videos of my fav bands playing live during that era.
