You say "[Outdated]" in the video title, but oh man this helps quite a lot. I've been doing speedruns for a year and just recently started to move on with more complex but faster routes. I'm close to lower my PB and your video has some tricks I didn't know like the cycles of some zones. Thank you, man!
OMG, I was getting frustrated because I didn't know what exactly was the instructions of the skip, but your 7-year-old video helped me, man. I got it! Holy… Thank you so much!
Please do. The input files are publicly available at github.com/ShootMe/OriDETAS To note regarding the final WD - even in playback it is incredibly inconsistent, and the input file for it has a position set for a location you can end up in, if all goes well, to make the ending of the TAS consistent. Just know that you need to get pulled into the roof of the first room for the distance to be possible, and be prepared to rerecord a bunch / possibly tweak frame timings slightly to get the proper platform freakout to get the ending to occur, as it's inconsistent between different PCs.
@@SigmaArcSin Thank you ! This does seem inconsistent for sure and I noticed that some parts doesn't work on my computer, I'll try fix everything but TASing is long 😅
ok am having a bug where in the last right room after the big rock falls off and the cutscene with the lava going underground starts and then after it's done the screen turns black and suppose to come back to me...but no only black screen and Mount horu music in background
Just got interested in speedrunning Ori after watching an older video from GDQ and I'm so glad i found this guide. The level of detail and the explanations are absolutely great! Thank you so much - let's rock these leaderbords :D
Technically a bug since the wonky collision between the corruption and the platform plus the specific location and angle Ori is standing at allows that to be possible
Good stuff dude, this is just straight up mind blowing. 😂 A game what typically takes 4 hours on average to finish. Was finished by you in under 10 minutes. 🤘🏼
This is really late lol but I appreciate this guide man! Sadly I was super late to the party regarding Ori, but late is better than never! My first play through lasted 8 hours lol. With your help my play though is under 2 hours now. I’m now shooting for a Sub 1 Hour play through. 🤘🏼 thanks again man! You rock
how can i be low energy after the tree if we get full energy/hp berfore? sorry im new in ori speedrunning :) maybe there is something i dont get :) thanks for your tutorial!!
