Would love to hear your take on Karl lagerfeld Mercer Street, which I feel is a really good offering by them. Also, maybe a comparison video between the current loggerfield classic and a bottle of the vintage stuff. I've bought several bottles of the vintage on RU-vid for a reasonable prices, and it is so much better than the modern reformulation.
Frikin awsome bit of perfume content man !!!! Answered a lot of questions i had about these 3 and the link between them i like reflection man but dont love it not mad on it but appreciated the dna but luv the houbigant and waiting on a bottle in the post also kinda twist on that style i luv is visionary eye from jus box check it out and thanks for very informative vid peace !!!!
Man smalls great but doesn't perform well. Man Blue gives me poor man's Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier vibes. Performance sucks though. Man Ice is basically Dior Homme Cologne. Performs better than Blue for me.
Fragrance enthusiasts notwithstanding your average man doesn't want to smell lipsticky He just doesn't. I'm somewhere in the middle. I do love Iris but it has to be done correctly I think a great example of an Irish fragrance done correctly is narciso Rodriguez parfum, that stuff is amazing. Prada lhome is another one. This hobby is not unlike my other hobby of audio. The enthusiasts think you need to spend thousands of dollars and need to like her sound a certain way or you're just not in the "know", I think that's unfortunate because that attitude pushes people away from an absolutely wonderful hobby like enjoying music through the best audio gear you can find or enjoying fragrances that appeal to you. I'm 57 years old and it's getting harder to find a masculine fragrance that doesn't smell like it's been drugged through a candy store. Yes I have some of those and I think they're great but I do miss the old school masculine fragrances. Anyway always enjoy your channel JMHO have a good day my friend!
Thanks for this video . I want you share me your opinion about this , please : If you would choose only one fragrance between Layton Exclusif & Xerjoff 40 Knots , which one would you pick ? I know there are no similarity between both , but currently I can pick up only one . I have smelled both , I like both , but I still confused to choose :) My appreciation in advance
i cant get final decision about parfums. i was looking for jean paul and that video was exactly what i m looking for. when i smell 2 of them i felt like they are really good but something was missing for me but when i find elixir, that was perfect. still i was thinking about le parfum and some other choice but elixir my final decision. also i like how u describe elixir with ''middle brother''. ty for helpfull review.
GREAT VIDEO MAN. Hey since you seem to be an expert do you by any chance know who makes colognes like these sonce the manufacturere doesnt make them any more? they are still on sale on sites like ebay and amazon, who makes the bottles and all the mixing work? how is it possible that these can still be original and for sale I wonder?
Some fragrances have been created and sold in large batches to distributors all over the world. Not all sell! They then get resold to smaller resellers. Sometimes, they pop up months or even years later. Of course, if the fragrance is popular, more batches are created, and all too often, the black market (fakes) will appear to get a piece of the action. Not as likely with the smaller brands like Varvatos. Therefore, be careful when buying a fragrance that has actually been discontinued, as the top notes could have gone bad. Always buy from reputable sellers. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching 👊
I'd go with Dark Rebel or the Rider version for fall and winter. Artisan Pure for summer. And Artisan Blue for spring and summer. 😊 thanks for watching 👊
I personally used to love all the sweet and fresh generic fragrances, but discovering This is Him! by Zadig & Voltaire has been a humbling experience. Over time, I realized I didn't want to smell like everyone else - I wanted something unique. Trying This is Him! was like a gateway to a new world, teaching me to appreciate distinct scents. People who dislike this fragrance might come to appreciate it eventually as their tastes evolve.

Hey brother, this was a great set of masterpiece recommendations. I've at least sampled most of them and agree wholeheartedly. When it comes to iris, my top choice is Amouage Interlude Black Iris. The concentration is so intense it leaves an oil slick wherever you spray it, and it just goes on and on. It's beautiful.
If I compare them side by side, they don't. However , I get the same feeling from the Intense cologne I used to get from the original back then. So, in a way, they do. I enjoy the Cologne Intense. I still haven't tried the Oud one . It is on my buy list. Let me know if you try it. 😉 Thanks for watching 👊
Peter I just want to let you know I really appreciate your thoughtful videos. Its a pleasure to see videos that aren't about Sauvage elixir, Y and the latest 1 million :) You cover scents that are forgotten or overlooked and often represent great value for the money. I haven't seen you review the old premium lines by Lalique or Boucheron those are really heavily discounted right now.
Thanks for the compliment Don👊 With so many fantastic fragrances to choose from I find it silly to only cover the newest ones. I like to have fun with all of my fragrances and hopefully I provide some value 🙃 Thanks for watching 🙌
It is beautiful, to bad it is hard to find. Thank you for watching, ciao È bellissimo, peccato che sia difficile da trovare. Grazie per la visione, ciao
That's a hard question. The original is always good. Polaris and Pulse of the Night, as well as Nuit d'issey parfum, are also amazing for most of the year. They are harder to find, though. This is an underrated brand with many amazing fragrances. Thanks for watching 👊
I like the line. You really get a lot for the affordability. Artisan Blue is definitely my favorite so far, but I'm curious to try the Teal. I like the sparseness of the webbing as it allows the teal color to come through.
I have the Mont Blanc Presence, and I just couldn't bond with it... something just didn't click for me, and I put it aside. Now when you mentioned the barbershop elements, I went back to it and re-sniffed, and it came together for me. I 'get it'. And certainly there are other elements present, but that one jumped out for me and my brain couldn't reconcile it for some reason. Now, to me, it's a 'barbershop' fragrance, that's the grouping it goes with in my collection, and it's wearable again.
@@ScentTrail Haha- I recently got fired. But it's good. I hated the job (lol) and they didn't appreciate me. So I'm 'in between' things right now, and blurted that out. Of course, to afford a Parfum Collection, one generally must work :) I am looking forward to 'more work' so I can buy 'more parfums'.
@@ScentTrail Thank you Peter. I'm in a good situation overall, and getting part time gigs.... Money isn't even the primary consideration.... if we sit around all day the atrophy can start to set in pretty quickly. I want to keep moving and growing.
