Just to be clear, slavery still exists in different forms, modern day slavery exists. Black people are still racially discriminated every day. Just because you dont see it happening everywhere doesn't mean it's no longer an issue. A lot of white ppl like to say that they aren't like their ancestors but the truth is you still benefit from THEIR PRIVILEGE. The fact that you can watch this video, comment about how slavery was 200 years ago is white privilige. Yes the kind of black slavery that was depicted in this movie was 200 years ago however it STILL EXISTS. Ignorance is bliss when you're white and racism doesn't affect you.
