Danny playing the solo... PG was great but most of the solos you can hear live from FM are from Danny! Looks like PG fans are not able to recognize his Les Paul sound LOL
I had the good fortune to see Peter with the Mac on quite a few occasions. He is without doubt the best blues guitarist the UK has ever produced and I am sure that Eric, Jimmy and Jeff would endorse that as a fact.
This is the perfect examples me to use when trying to explain the pure genius of Peter green. Power and gentleness, virtuosity with soul , team player and leader and a voice to break your heart. In a word “the blues”. He will always be my hero and he’s in my head whenever I pick up a guitar
Nothing brings back memories like music. I got a compilation tape at a yard sale with Muddy Waters on one side and Howling Wolf on the other. I was blown away. Then I bought the King Bee CD. Y'all just too young to know.
Как старому поклоннику Клэптона, мне приходиться осознать, что Питер, возможно лучше его, как по вокалу, так и по сольному исполнению на гитаре. Очень проникновенен!
This is the best example of why you never do anything that can kill your soul. You are not the body you are the soul. This man had a connection with his that may be unmatched. Please never mistreat your soul even if you think you have no talent.
Peter was to blues guitar what John Coltrane was to the saxophone. There are amazing electric blues players........and then there was Peter Greenbaum, an English Jewish boy.......who'd a thought. See you at the Great Gig In the Sky.
This is a BB King Song but the master had this to say about Peter Green - " he has the sweetest tone that I have ever heard". Say a lot really. RIP both.
Green, Mick Taylor and a few others understood the beauty of space, harmony and being part of a band, complementing instead of always competing. British music at its best.
I'm finally looking at this video ,and only after seeing footage of a recent performance by modern day stars Bonamassa and Kingfish.I need to really get back into the blues and learn on guitar, because I didn't even know about the dong
