I can only imagine the anxiety he felt through this situation in his life. Gary was the wrong damn choice. I love Gary and his music greatly. But vh wasn't a fit.
I would have just waited and not jumped the gun on resignation until I heard something from Van Halen. A possible 20 plus year run with Van Halen is hard to come by. Unicorn rare!
This guy is golden. I had never heard of him until today. I liked Van Halen but I was never hard core so unfortunately Mitch flew under my radar until today. I was checking out videos on the Plek machine process and Mitch was thanking them on a recent setup. Some fans of his gave him cool props so I decided to check Mitch out and I've become a fan. A huge fan. High skills, a level head and down to earth. I'm happy he did well and I look forward to checking him out! Cool video brother!

Wow, so Mitch voluntarily removed himself from the band, I see… and to tell you the truth, that was probably the most important and best decision he ever made in his life in regards to looking ahead and out for his own future. Because who the hell knows what kind of hatred and exploitation might have came raining in on him like a German artillery barrage in 1944. At least with Gary Cherone… he was already a rock veteran and knew the scene. Mitch didn’t, and it would have been a major disadvantage for him up against odds NOT stacked in his favor, and not by a long shot, either When he tells of his left after the fact, that goes to show that sometimes folding your deck is the best. It sounds like he’s made a success story of his own from it all
As long as you're not a singer, eddie van halen Would treat you with respect, however, if your a singer. In his band he treated you like an asshole And I can't stand that about him

Pretty boy with awesome hair but no real star power. He lacks that extra spark thats needed. He's a good singer but a little too "vanilla". Has a "Nelsons" vibe.
