Great battle report and up the Kruleboyz! Love to see them played competitively. I would be keen to know how the Kruleboyz player would approach deployment/battle tactics on a plan where the territories are larger (like a 50:50 split). Are you still deploying aggressively for a Take The Flanks, or doing something totally different?
Hey Bram! Thanks for checking out the Battle Report (and prob some Strategoi content on the side…)! Really glad to be a new member of the Threshold Team, and this game with Nick was a great way to kick it all off!
This is rough and I haven't been playing with IDK even though it is my army. They are just too weak and this was near picture perfect play for IDK and it still was a wet blanket.
Yeah that's been my experience too, I have been winning games almost purely on the huge movement ability and easy teleports, but like this even with my best damage dealers, and things lining up perfectly they just can't put enough damage through. Maps like this are much better for me but on fewer objective maps when my movement won't make the difference I just struggle to shift things.
Great Battlereport, very nice format. It would be great to see your miniatures in full, maybe at the end of the battle? because they look really interesting and well painted =)
Hey Guys, thanks for checking out this week's video! We wanted to give you the heads up that this video was recorded pre-battlescroll, so you may notice some points/rule differences. Additionally, the Gitz list was incorrect at start of recording and we swapped the units around prior to round 1 start, so the list shown during the list description is the correct one. Enjoy!
Awesome game! As a IDK player, I've been there with the Morsarr. They just don't do that much into the elite anvils in the game. Playing an amazing movement game seems to be the keys to success, and that's the hardest part of the game lol. Awesome video!
Ursharon is auto in FEC. The army really doesn't work without him, sad but true. Also advise taking cardinal, the audio d3 deep points every turn, not just in your hero phase, is massive. Ursharon is then normally at 6 by end of T1
Never make a list that relies so heavily on whether or not scion of the storms charges go off. Ever. The lack of board presence on Battle Round 1 was also a huge blunder...SCE player lost this game in the deployment phase. Better luck next time!
Great report as always guys. Really loving your format and.competitive nature. Though I think you did underdog wrong for the 5+ reroll on the Gargants last turn when he made the Khorne player chose another objective. Underdog is determined at the start if the battle round and doesn't change. 12.0 in the core rules.
Love the presentation format, time stamps and talk throughs. Love that you two play quickly- shows a very professional impression of the game and level of skill. "Take us to the Threshold!" Where do I get a shirt. 🤜🤛
Nice one - just a few questions on rules interactions - you said at the start that the skull cannon got anti-monster - that only works on melee weapons and only if you charged. and the removing of a flesh hound to break coherency isn't allowed either as far as I understand 18.3 - "after each slain model is removed, the unit must be in a single coherent group. If this is not possible..." - since it would have been possible in this case, I don't believe you have the option to break coherency intentionally
Can’t find where you got the melee only and only on the charge? Core rules don’t say anything in that regard in the app. (20.0) Regarding coherency, I read it as you can remove any slain model, but the models you remove to return to a coherent unit afterwards have to be as efficient as possible, but I guess you can read it differently too! (18.3)
@@tommegens the part about removing models is definetly not completely clear, absolutely agreed. A FAQ would be really helpful for a lot of those "little" rule interactions, especially those that have a great effect on the game and yeah....the anti-X sadly is a fail of an ability, if you aren't Nighthaunt ;)
3 megas and 3 babies is the only way to play gargants atm. I've found you need the extra bodies just to score points, which, hasn't traditionally been an issue for sons. Great batrep as always. Bring on the next one!
Most cowardly ironjaws player I have ever seen, and probably the single most boring game of AOS I have ever watched. I get it, you played for points, but you could have played for points AND done some charges on turns where you really could have decimated the lizards. This game was far closer than it had any right to be.
