What is everybody looking at? The wind is behind them . Nobody is looking for puffs. I see this in all these tragedies. Nobody calling wind pressure and time to ease.
I've got two of them. Different styles of maker's mark, one JGA in a circle and the second the normal Anschutz lettering. Both DSM-34 type, not KKW. Interesting category of firearms.
Nope plenty of room and they as seen where turning up to scrub time and make a hole. Besides a known competitor with trust of actions. J-35 in Detroit is great almost all skippers play clean and fair then sail hard
True and not in dispute if you are chasing ambulances, but we had time and opportunity and with time, our and their start tactics and their actions and no call it was not. As stated before a close group, take it to another town or an unknown boat we would have turned quicker.
@@ronrabine1839 That's a great lake to sail in because it'll test all your skills. We sail at the other end of LSC on Wednesdays. Love dealing with the freighters, currents, shallows, constant tacks, and crazy winds.
I remember that exact spot. There was a gap between two storm cells on the horizon, and our captain thought we were going to slip through that gap. No bloody way. We finished in record time, but still at the back of our fleet. But we got the last hotel room on the island.
Had the exact same thing happen in a similar spot on this race. Wind picked up coming into that front line, spin popped just before we got into the nasty weather. Ours went about 3 feet down from the head, and tape to tape. Ended up hitting 17.5 kts with a 3 up. My recap of our race is on my channel. Cheers boys!
Ever see the movie "Final Countdown" with Kirk Douglas? They're on the USS Nimitz, and they hit a storm and go back in time. Same thing happened during this race. Happens all the time.
