The clacking of clubs as you walk the fairways is a sound I miss. Almost everyone uses an electric trolley these days. Nice to see you carrying 👍. Great video Dan #carryifyoucan
@@8john8notts8 hey John, thanks for the kind words mate. Will be doing more in future at some beautiful courses in South Africa so hopefully you'll enjoy those too 👍
In all honesty when I did my research DJI just didn't seem to come up. Not sure how I missed them. Looking at review sites, I'd say that Rode often come up on top anyway so I'm happy I've chosen these ones. The final thing is that Rick Shiels uses them so that was the kicker for me
Man, one thing I learned is “today ain’t happening” 😂 That wind was crazy and as much fun golf can be, and we want to play, in those sorts of conditions very little positive comes from it. Well done for making half way around before getting about the record button. I remember playing in wind like that at St George’s and it near on killed me.
Really agree with you on this one. The only positive that came from it was likely the fact that I don't have a lot of quit, which is a good thing 🤣 Also a wake up call that my wrist angles were just not cutting it. Not 'never again', but pretty close to 👍
I love de Zalze. :) After Arabella (which I have very close personal connection to), its my favourite course in Cape Town. It's a bit brave playing De Zalze only allowing 3 drop shots 😅
Thanks very much! At the moment Im using 'shot tracer app'. It works on android and Apple phones as well as my macbook pro. Not sure about other laptops. Hope that helps 👍
It was unreal Zac👍 will definitely be going back to hopefully see more wildlife. Holes are often closed off if there's a lion kill on a Fairway for example so lots more to see
Hello Sir, How are you? I saw your videos on RU-vid. As an Expert I must say, your video Content is good but not properly SEO. Your SEO score is very poor. No SEO-friendly Title & Description, No keywords in the Title & Description, No ranking keywords in video & Channel Tags and many more errors. That's why your channel is not growing organically.
Hi John, thanks very much mate, appreciate that 👍 I'm normally around 270 on the course. Keep wondering if id get more out of a newer driver as mine is the Titleist 915D3🤷
Thanks mate really appreciate that. I will definitely do more of these. Got trips back to South Africa this year planned with some very scenic courses so will definitely do a few there
This is an interesting one. If you look at my swing from the side, I get narrow, meaning it makes it really hard to then release the club head at the ball. What you're seeing makes sense 👍👍
Bloody hell. 😅 It’s one of the rounds where the score just leaked away… I have never thought of golf in Morocco I have to say, but nice looking course if you can drive it straight.
Yup indeed, a case of me probably not getting out of my own way🤣 it was really great actually, and we only played 3 courses of which only 1 was in the top 10. Will definitely be going back 👌
Love seeing the different courses you are playing, Dan. I know first hand that you absolutely stripe the ball, and those swing changes are starting to bed in for ya 👊🏼. Lets have a round next time you're at hadden (when the bloody rain stops 😂)
Ugh ! Tough day on the links eh ? Ain’t golf just like that ? Well done for hanging in there when anything that could go wrong ..did . Still fun to watch Dan .
Hi Nick, as a new creator this type of comment is pretty special mate. Really appreciate it🙏 was definitely a tough day haha. Pretty sharp learning curve that changing a swing you've had for 22 years isn't going to happen in 6 months 🤣
For sure, short game is key. Pity about the two lost balls. When you're playing alone, losing a ball is so much easier. Take those away and you're around in not much at all. I know this was shot in the summer at Sonning (which is great course) and things may have changed with the swing, but you can't swing left and have an open face. That differential is going to make the ball move so much more to the right in the air. For a fade, you only need one or the other... :) Roll on summer. I am getting tired of the cold and playing in mud now.
Thanks for the feedback mate. Just for some context, at the start of the summer (and my filming) I started working with a coach for the first time and we stripped back my swing quite drastically and started making changes. So you are spot on with your assessment. My plan is that as the channel progresses, so the swing will to. It will also need to as some very cool guests planned coming up 🤣
That’s a tough ask with having to create on just about every shot with massive gaps in distances between clubs. But still, well done. If it was me, being a short hitter, I’d take 5 wood, 7 iron, 54 wedge and putter.
Yeah this was a real tough one tbh. I think I'd just started the swing changes so confidence was low. Yours sound like good choices. I'll do it again at some point, and may put in a 48 degree instead of 56
It takes some getting used to playing in front of the camera but also deal with all the faff that goes with it. Give us a shout in the spring / summer. Come and play with me around one (or more) of the courses at Frilford Heath.
Hi Graham, thanks for the comment. Definitely does take some getting used to. Really appreciate the offer, I'm only down the road at Hadden Hill so not far. Will give you a shout👍 let me know where's best to get in touch
I left originally on gap year and then stayed until now (10 years ish) as I got work and just got a bit stuck really. I definitely wouldn't say it's a collapsing society. Lots of SA is just so beautiful and very cheap if travelling with pounds euros etc. It is more dangerous than for eg the UK but it's just requires a little more Street smarts. I am hoping to spend more time in Cape Town filming as the channel grows. If you love golf, it's a paradise 👍
All in all pretty good job. The wind is an occasional sound problem, but not too off putting...There is a lot of competition out there in YT golf, find something unique to stand out......good luck with the channel...
Hi Chris, thanks for the input. Ya at the time didn't even have a mic but now onto a rode shotgun mic and even that's not to my liking so will end up going the lapel route I think. Definitely got a unique lane which will become more apparent in time. Thanks very much for the feedback 👍👍
