You know Dodger, I have friends that go to Thailand practically every year. I have to say, that I doubt very much that their experience was anywhere near as good as yours, even though they love going there. I'm glad you posted this series, as you have enhanced my perception of Thailand even more so, and I now look forward to visiting soon myself. See you when you get back to freezing Melbourne! 🙂
Thanks 🙏 Thailand is truely a great place to visit especially if you get away from the touristy parts. There is so much to see & experience true Thai culture. The Thai people are very friendly, making a small effort in trying to speak Thai goes a long way. Really enjoyed Koh Samui, in actual fact enjoyed the whole trip. Bad train & bus rides and experience, finishing off the days travel with great accommodation at a fair price. Thanks again, see back in Australia.
@@jewel88846 Yes it was good, beautiful deco, clean, great pool, room was nice, close enough to walk to the beach & shopping centre. Quick tuk tuk ride to the heart of Hua Hin. We had an enjoyable stay. 👍
Gday Dodger, like how the way u put this vlog together, a bit of everything. They don't call it the rainy season for nothing lol Digs look great, Hua Hin is a good spot, has everything u need. Got some decent shopping centres like Bluport and Market Villiage. I cant eat 'som tum' way to spicy for me lol. Good to see u on the Leo's, Banana. boat looked like fun. GRAB is definately the way to go. great stuff
Thanks 👍 Enjoyed Hua Hin & will revisit this area with more time on hand. So far our stay in Thailand has been spot on, has given me the travel bug. Food is fantastic, people friendly as, great sites to visit, but most of all everything is reasonable priced. Cheers 🍻
Gday Dodger, wow u certainly got around samui and explored the island, good to see no one went hungry lol. I always preferred Lamai to other parts of Samui, got some real fond memories of the place. You guys look real happy and it certainly showed that in the vlog, great digs, nice pool. Happy days. cheers
Good to see you back in Thailand Dodger with the family, Im a bit over flying these days but it is what it is I suppose. How good is the food, u cant beat it especially washing it down with a icy cold Leo. Looking forward to watching your adventures. Happy Days, cheers pedro
Cheers mate. This trip has been a long time waiting. Got the travel bug back for South East Asia. Food has been great, been eating too much, not to forget the beers, they go down great with the climate (hot & humid). Thanks 🙏
Gooday Dodger, cool videos! Just sold my KLR650, mainly because as I get older (66), I find I'm getting tired of being on tippy toes! Love the looks of the Versys. Have you had any problems with them getting too hot? What sort of range do you usually get to a tank? Cheers, Greg
Versys x300 is a reliable bike, no problems with overheating, engine has been around for a few years previously used in the Ninja 300. Fuel range 300+ km depending on how hard you ride & type of ride eg. city or country. Thanks
Nice videos. I'm thinking about getting one. I have subscribed. Questions: How is the seat comfort? I have heard the Versys is prone to overheating at low speed on rough stuff. Had any issues?
They are a great bike for the price. Seat is what it is, on long days in the saddle you will have a sore bum, I find it ok but then I ride a Postie bike for a living, normally 5 Hrs riding per day. Never had any over heating issues, even on my long ride to Queensland Outback Australia. The bike is simple, easy to ride plus been reliable. Enjoy this little touring bike.
Sorry mate can’t recall what size. Have recently replaced those tyres with Pirelli MT60 after my trip to Outback Queensland, a lot of straight line riding on Tarmac, got over 10k km. Gone for more a 60/40 tyre in preparation for more road rides with the Mrs. She’s not too keen on the dirt.
Local areas would have to be around Gembrook towards Noojee, Warburton area. Victorian/NSW High country. Further away, love the outback or any open flat plan countryside. Australia has so many interesting places to visit. Have seen a lot but still a lot more to explore. Thanks 🙏
