The history is about Tang Sanzang, a Buddhist monk in Tang Empire (618-907 ce), who left central China, crossed West China, Middle Asia and South Asia to seek collections of ancient Buddhist scriptures. Sanzang is one of main characters of a well-known Chinese novel "Journey to the West". The story in the novel describes Sanzang suffered the most in 女儿国（matrilineal society or kingdom), where the queen fell in love with him and sincerely hoped him stay with her, however Sanzang had to leave and complete his religious and political tasks or duty, missing the true love. What a sad thing like this to let the true love go!
