This guy came to my high school band class back in 78. He was in town (Detroit) to play a couple of shows and was friends with my band teacher. Band class was my last class of the day, and he stayed for over an hour after class. We all had a blast. I've never seen anyone so talented and fun to be around. Fun times.
As a 12 year old in 1973, I thought this song was MIND BLOWING. I had enough of listening to "The Carpenters" & Edgar Winter was just the antidote I needed....& so did everybody else. Edgar looked cool & but it was his talent that was Intoxicating! Thanks Edgar, for making our 1973 lives so much brighter!
Had a hippie Van in 73 with a quad system and power booster 4 kick ass speakers and had this quad 8 track talk about blowing your mind try and beat that friends
I don’t know if anybody here is into metal, thrash metal to be precise but a band called Overkill does a decent cover of this song. Of course this is 10000000% better.
Ages ago: I played the original album version ten trillion times. I can hear every note or beat in this video that is different from the original.....LOL
I’m 66 now ,saw Edgar Winters at Summer fest when I was 16.BB King played first,When Edgar started playing not one person left. This music was just starting, everyone loved it.

I'm 43 years old This came out around 8 years or so before I was born, But even to this day, That is one of the most amazing songs and videos I have ever seen in my entire life! I know how to play 5 instruments and guitars and keyboards are part of that and I can't play anything like that! That is pure talent beyond belief! 🤘🤘🤘🤘 I've known about this band ever since the early '90s when I first heard them. I respected him ever since I wish I was alive to hear them when they were new. 🤘
