Hey Emily, thanks for the tutorials! Is there a way for unregistered visitors to just be able to take the quiz? My setup (WordPress, Elementor Pro, LifterLMS) just redirects nonregistered visitors to a 404 version of the dashboard. I have no memberships configured and all lessons are set to free... : (
Hello 👋, unfortunately there's not a way to allow an unregistered user to take a LifterLMS Quiz I usually recommend Quiz and Survey Master as a free plugin to allow unregistered users to take quizzes: wordpress.org/plugins/quiz-master-next/ Do you think that would work for you?
@@WPCourseGuide Sorry I have to ask, what's with the colour scheme Is this some sort of colour blind setup? Or, maybe I'm colour blind. I can't see the PHP tags very well.
I have it in a very weird color scheme and font so that I have to read the code more 🙂 and focus in on reading it more clearly like reading calligraphy fonts I apologize if it’s hard to read for the colors. I get that, I do that on purpose to challenge myself a bit
I did this and love it! only one problem when I go to the settings for mobile view in elementor it looks fine. But on the live mobile site, the tabs jump up over the video and disable the video. You cannot play the video or do anything on the page. It is terrible. Please please help. thank you
Please can you update this video. It is awesome but the elements have updated. When I try follow your steps they are different. I love you guys and what you do! Please keep doing!
Hello, you can use the code below to hide the coupon field from the checkout form. To learn how to add that CSS code below, please follow lifterlms.com/docs/add-custom-css/ .llms-coupon-wrapper {display: none;}
Will, can you please please explain how the hell I make LifterLMS work with my dark astra theme? I'm using Elementor and I've a lost a week trying to make this work with LifterLMS Labs and Elementor - with no sidebars displaying and nothing aligning correctly either. I'm so baffled!
Hi. I can’t find an embed URL in Vimeo. All Vimeo has are embed codes which Lifter LMS doesn’t seem to accept because when I paste an embed code from Vimeo into Lifter the save button will not function. Please help 😢
Hello, usually the URL to the Vimeo video can be found - does this doc help help.vimeo.com/hc/en-us/articles/12426150952593-Direct-links-to-video-files
Magic WIll has a way of breaking down what is presented usually in complicated ways, in a very relatable - actionable way. I love how he is like LifterLMS does A,B,C, and if you need D&E -- add this specifically.
Thanks Will, appreciate you creating this in response to my question. Might need to look into the integrated vs external crm as I've only ever used external integrations with other lms.
Hello, you can use the free Liftor plugin for the lesson template feature: wordpress.org/plugins/liftor/ Tangible Lifter Elements, used in the tutorial, can unlock even more design features like customizing the color of buttons in Elementor for mark complete, etc. but there is a free option available in the 'Liftor' plugin
Is there a way to show a specific section. My users use the lessons over and over again and therefore don't mark them as complete, but there are 100 lessons and 10 sections in each course. I want to make it easier for them to see / get to a section from the course page without scrolling forever through all the sections lessons. For example: putting an column layout with two sections side by side identified by an image at the top of the container, then put the shortcode under the image with collapsible turned on for the specific section.
If we need to show/hide things if you are enrolled/not enrolled, would we use dynamic visibility as well? I couldn't figure out how to hide certain elements if I am enrolled (ex: the course page shouldn't show an enroll button if I am enrolled, but instead a "Continue course"
The Dynamic Visibility for Elementor plugin doesn't support LifterLMS unfortuantely. LifterLMS enrollment statuses would be what you're looking for there. That's where the Conditional Logic feature of Lifter Elements by Tangible would come in: wpcourseguide.com/lifterelements (in their middle plan) You could alternatively use the LifterLMS hide content shortcode: lifterlms.com/docs/shortcodes/#lifterlms_hide_content A bit more intensive than the Lifter Elements version, but is possible with the shortcodes.
Hi Marcus, absolutely I remember you from the Liftoff calls from a while back with Carter School of English - teaching English to Spanish learners I believe?
Hello, you can always add a custom page to the nav menu if you made a custom course catalog Is that the question your asking there? Or if you're using a nav menu block from Elementor Pro, you can add the catalog as a page to that menu under wp-admin > Appearance > Menus
When I embedded my video with its URL, I received an error message: Media Error, an incompatible codec was detected. I was able to embed with the custom html option in the website, but that's not offered in the builder. I'm using Kadence theme and Sproutvideo in Wordpress. Hoping there's a workaround. Thank you.
Hello, thank you for the kind words :) Unfortunately I don't think there's a great solution for a frontend dashboard for teachers in LifterLMS. Each time they'll need to create a course, grade an assignment, edit, etc. they'll have to go to the backend of WordPress. The best solution I've seen for 'frontend dashboard' or a clean dashboard is the WaaS Pro product Admin UI Pro: waas-pro.com/admin-ui-pro/ This product makes the backend of WordPress look very nice so users don't feel like they're on a WordPress website.
@@WPCourseGuide so you say i cant creat a dashboard with elementor and other plugins i have another question i bought learndash and it has a the same problem and lifter lms has it too but tutor lms has a dashboard but what do you think which one is better and good for managing schools and independent teachers. Thanks for your advice. So you say i have to buy a plugin that makes the back-end display better.
