As soon as i get a good run and avoid the reds really well, the blues want to be untouchable. and hard to grab. also the hit boxes on the reds can be like an inch and a half either side of them. nuts
FUCKING HATE THIS MISSION. This is probably the worst part of the entire game. It is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to win this FUCKING CHAMPIONSHIP. The opponents' stats are too high (in contrast to my team's stats, which are complete shit). Even following this tutorial to the letter, I haven't scored a single fucking goal. Some bitch almost always steals or intercepts the ball from Tidus. Not to mention that at the start of the game, the ball is almost always caught by the opponents. It's like it was specifically designed to make you lose. I DON'T WANT TO LOSE. But the way this fucking section of the game is made doesn't help either.
I’m commenting just to get some kind of community support for how fucking hatefully difficult this fucking mini game is. It's so rare that I have such hateful feelings towards a person that I wish suffering upon them and I legit feel that for whoever designed this mini right now. Goddammit
Funny story. When I was a kid I actually managed to casually beat this event. I distinctively remember the cutscene of wakka holding the trophy. But since I failed every other run I started to doubt my own sanity as to whether or not I dreamed the cutscene. And my friends didn't believe me either cause nobody managed to beat it. And this all happened before youtube was a thing so yeah. Years later I find this out and they were like: you were actually telling the truth!

Having never tried the mini game before, i got a 1.6 seconds on my second attempt yesterday, which was my 1st win. Came back to it today to get the reward for the 0.0 and got it in 20 minutes. Not gonna lie even in that time I was raging at points, a couple of times i nearly did it only to get hit with a triple combo of birds at the finish line. There is certainly a skill element to it, but also a major dab of luck as well and it's that luck element that pisses most people off I think.
I got this for the first time earlier this year. I thought I’d never be able to do it. Just keep doing it and eventually you’ll get it. Honestly luck is a factor here.

Brother lowk is the best midfielder in the game because his speed can take aggro from either forwards blockers then with the combination of his endurance and pass get the ball to the forward for a free shot. Also lets him be a lethal defensive mid with wither tackle.
The stats dont even make sense for the enemy team, they have 5 at i have en they take the ball i have 5 at they have 5 en i hit them and take them down to 4
Been playing this mini game on and off for the past few years. Still haven't gotten the 0:00.0 time. Lowest score is 0:1.1. I'm ready to pay someone else to do this for me.
Idk how you get it to work for you but every time I redo this the Goers are always covering Tidus. Can never make a shot. Ject shot even gets blocked at close range.

This tournament actually ruins the rest of the game for me. Just hate trying to play the game after losing that rigged tournament. Edit. Just beat it finally. Only took several restarts. I just scored one goal with ject shot then swam in circles to run the clock down. I hateblitzball
