The bass that comes around 1:10 or so(after the beat switch) doesn't really sit good in the mix. I get what you were going for with it,try to make the bass more "clear" like in kanye's "Heard em say". I think utalizing silence and volume automation could help some of the transitiond go more smoothly. JPEGMAFIA has a hard sound and beat structure to emulate, you failed but you failed in the right way and the structure was spot on and seemed intentional. The problem here is the drums, they're good on their own but you need to study JPEG's drums a bit more if you want a more metallic/tense sound. you also made this very crowded mixing wise and to a lesser extent arrangment wise, try to leave more room. A beat will always sound a little "empty" on its own (but with a sense of movement/progression) which is fine because someone is supposed to rap on it. Try to make the drums more off-grid. This overall sounds good but its better when classified as an EDM-video OST beat than a hiphop one
OhhhhIn the course of crafting this particular musical beat, I found myself contemplating various potential titles that might adequately capture its essence. Ultimately, I chose to designate it as a "Jpegmafia type beat," primarily due to my uncertainty regarding what other appellation could suitably convey the unique characteristics and influences present within the composition. Thus, in a moment of creative indecision, I arrived at this title, believing it to be the most fitting representation of the work I had produced. It was not inherently my intention to make a beat Jpegmafia this goat himself would make but indubitably the views were pretty good so I cannot be adequately disappointed.
im not even gonna lie brother jpeg's production is something that is really hard to imitate, and this came out nothing alike, i trust you can be a good producer, but this just isnt it for me
@@Kingdrathebaker im just saying man an attempt to imitate jpeg's production style this early on in your production career is INSANE and an insurmountable task, you need to just chill out and work on the basics rather than trying to work with breakbeat drums and crazy phonk sample flips and shit like on his new album
