My 1st Jeep Liberty was a 2003 3.7 V6. I had a lot of money invested in her. Color was a dark blue. It was pretty. First time I did off road I cringed when I heard the brush scratching the paint on both sides. Sold it because of a now ex wife. Lol.. I just bought a 2005 Jeep Liberty Regrade. 200,000 still runs and drives. But needs some love. 4 bald tires, radiator cooling fan, I just bought, passenger side rear door window regulator. And have only had it 3 day's. Lol.. Jeeps you either love them or hate them. Oh and my 05 is 4x4. Stay Safe Everybody.
Sweet whip, I don't know if you picked it but you picked a good one, If you treat it good don't forget maintenance minimum maintenance that is... And don't do burnouts or drive it excessively fast or hard for too long these trucks will take you over 200k easily, I have an '07 limited it's basically the top highest trim. With the then top of the line transfer case at Jeep offered, which has the four wheel full-time option, which does work with dry roads, it will push torque 60/40 basically, and even a highway speeds it does not bind which is strange to me, but it works, with that the transfer case also has the part time four-wheel drive option which is the traditional locked axles no differential which will bind and jump around on dry roads but will pull you out of almost any mild roadway hazards like snow and especially mud, of course tires permitting, although I have found that even the ESP system which the liberty 07 has Keeps me in 2wd.. sadly lol. The windows are famous defect they always break the window motors typically driver side first, also at the end of the way overzealous OBD2 system which is way too sensitive to gas leakage, I guess and attempt to push max MPG, THIS IS THE BIGGEST GRIPE, other than that if you don't beat her, don't go over 80 mph excessive times she'll treat you real good these cars were built actually for operating off road, The seating position and suspension are not built for a nice soft comfortable one over pavement she's built too go over treacherous rocks, and the seating position really makes this vehicle quite uncomfortable for pampered folk, I myself grew up driving trucks like this and I am comfortable for hours in her seats, I have zero coplaints, But some (soft) Ppl May complain about the tight cabin.
I love how cheap and plasticky American cars are inside. They look like 80's Japanese eco-boxes...Still, less things to worry about...Oh yes, and those fkn bongs all the time. My Wrangler TJ used to drive me mad with those..Awesome truck though.
I just very recently bought the exact same model..And it's in immaculate for its 17year old age.. And I've also managed to find re customized renegade that has sadly for the owner had its chassi written off, so over time I will part it out for spares and swap over the nudge bar and snorkel and about 10 other custom features I can use.. Thanks for the really great video. Much appreciated
I dont know if you still have that Jeep but I must say its a great buy, I still have my 2005 limited edition liberty renegade and won't let it go for anything in the world 😉
I recently brought 04 Jeep liberty RWD standard for 600 dollars and no issues. I can't drive yet because of DMV closed during lockdown till April 30th. 😱😱😱😱 Can't wait to get it out on the road! I miss 93 Isuzu Rodeo LS. 😭😭😭😭 I don't mind to buy again but none in State. Only at least 1500 to 3000 miles away! ☠️☠️
I still miss my jeep. I picked it out but there were far better options than that for the same price. But there was something special about mine. I think all the time I put into it--adding navigation, back up camera, roof rack, etc. (all of which are not on the car at the time of this video). Don't hate it, enjoy it, make it your own. You will grow to like it more. I have learned to be thankful for what I am given even if its not a BMW like I wanted--still working on that ;) Have a blessed day John!
I bought my Jeep for 600, there was two things wrong with it. Unfortunately it had a bad rod knock, and of course the window switches for the front are done for. With parts and labor to get the motor rebuilt and switches fixed was 850. I love the fact I have four wheel drive, because I am lazy and refuse to shovel my driveway in the winter lol. All around its a dependable vehicle for me and my kids, and I'm happy I didnt pay much for it.
Emory Craft Just bought a 2004 jeep liberty sport 3.7 L 6 Cylinder. They are cleaning it right now and I should have it sometime later today, I can't wait :D
***** its actually been pretty good. My water pump went out on me and because it was loose a belt came off but after I got that fixed it was good as new. I haven't had anything else fail on me yet. I definitely would buy again. Gas gets pretty expensive on it though just like any jeep would.
