Sound advice. Unfortunately, most guys I have had discussions with think I'm crazy for saying what you said in this vid. They don't have any training on how to clear a room, but have no qualms with searching out a bogie in their house. It's a clear lack of imagination, not visualizing just how much their lives may change if a shoot goes awry.
@1:25, "I like revolvers, they are incredibly reliable, you pull the trigger they go bang. Every time." Something Alex Baldwin tragically learned on the movie set of Rust. Great series, looking forward to future videos.
Rick, that's a great looking weapon system!🔥 Quite a generous trigger well in there. I have average size dick-beaters that feel at home on my Glock 19X, however I'd be intereseted to explore other options. How does this PDP F series compare on price point with say the (roughly) comparable SIG P320 Compact? Thank you.
Peter Hathaway Capstick said he hunted leopards with #3 high brass. His rationale was that BBs have a tendency to push blood vessels out of the way and get hung up in bone, so he wanted to maximize the number of chances of blowing that artery apart. I’ve never shot a person or a leopard with that round, but I had a scared hog come running straight toward my goose blind, and a 3” #2 killed it in one shot. Looked like someone hit it with a chainsaw. I’m not saying I disagree with this guy at all, but if you want something a little less spicy than 00 for home defense, I suspect #3 would work pretty well.
My wife started out with a PPK/S in the early 1980s. We were dating, and I was steering her towards a smallish Beretta but she said "Nope, I want THIS one!," so we got the PPK/S. This was the start of her ALWAYS choosing her own way with firearms. Recently she wanted to get something from the HellCat series, or maybe a variation of the Sig P-365. While at the local gun store, I asked the saleslady to also show her the F-series Walther and what do you know, she flipped out over it. She shoots it very well and now keeps it as her bump-in-the-night pistol on the nightstand. We've been married 39 years and she is still a Walther girl.
Though I appreciate the time and effort to review this magazine, and I sincerely wish you the best results. 👍 I'm not convinced that polymer mags are all that wonderful. Personally, I leave my mags loaded to capacity. I have aluminum and steel mags that some have been loaded for right at three years. They remain 100% ridged. Whereas Pmag, Hexmag, Promag, Amend 2, and a couple others have all deformed, flexed badly, and failed after three to six months. A couple even split at the feed lips. I am currently testing one from Mission First Tatical that has been loaded for five months. Monthly measurements by micrometer shows this magazine has not changed shape in that time, and still inserts easily into the mag well and drops freely at less than a 35° angle. No other polymer mag has lasted this long. In another month I'll load it in my weapon and function test it. And measure it again empty. I'm optimistic to a point, but I'm not ready to sing it's praises just yet. I've had my reservations about polymer since it first hit the market.
Some people could underestimate the performance of the shooters on this drill because the distance they are shooting is not very difficult for get more hits but the key factor here for difficulty is the fact that they have to run a lot as part of the drill and that should reduce respiration control A LOT even for a seasoned shooter and as all who are long time or very experienced shooters should know, respiration control is vital for accuracy. So taking this into consideration we have to admit that the drill is good as part of a real life combat shooting training and the shooter’s performance in this scenario is good. Nice job guys 👍
I took Bob Kellers (EX Delta) carbine class and he taught us to keep the weapon up and down range. It took me a bit to master but i found doing it like that keep my gun up and my eyes focused forward. Not to mention there was a lot less weapon manipulation. Either way thanks for sharing Sir!
This was freaking hilarious. thank you Pantaeo! Listening to the boys unwind as they get progessively tanked has quite possibly been the hi-lite of my year🤘Yeah, it's been a bad year. Part 4 here we come baby!
