Screw all the people that make this stuff about red vs blue, this is common sense if your community gets hurt by a major hurricane/ natural disaster the government should be doing the most to help and it’s not just now this is the same controversy that happened during Katrina with bush. People just don’t understand that usually all these government plans and FEMA plans usually lowball you and you have to pay tons out of pocket. What fema was gonna give my grandad during hurricane Michael wouldnt even fix a 1/4 of his damaged roof and basically was forced to take out an SBA loan. Which is all out of pocket loan just like a regular loan with no payback deadline. It’s more than just the $750 that’s the controversy it’s the fact that these people who have never been hit by hurricanes before are telling me how these programs work in RU-vid comments like I haven’t experienced it firsthand, not to mention it usually takes months sometimes almost a year to even get approved for fema assistance, that’s IF you get approved in the first place, and chance are very high it won’t cover all of it or even half it happens to almost all my family and neighbors . When you experience it firsthand and see the place you grew up your whole life look like a bomb was just dropped on it or it’s completely underwater , you’d be upset too. So when your community is destroyed and your eating MREs and bottled water ,in florida with no AC running water or power in some of the hottest months out the year, siphoning water out the ditch with 5 gallon buckets just to flush the toilet and using bottles of water to take a shower,with no means of work since majority of the businesses that aren’t essential workers are not functioning until months after the storm, then you’ll realize why government disaster assistance is such a big deal.

Rental assistance to repair and replace things like appliances and computers, Medical and dental assistance to cover the cost of disaster related injuries. Funeral assistance and child care assistance. Fema also has announced it has provided 45 million in disaster relief thus far. 23 million to people in Florida 17 millon in housing to people in North Carolina and 4.5 to people in south carolina. All of this and more is funded through the Disaster Relief Fund. If you want to be made about 750.00, be mad about the man you have on the top of your shirt who only paid 750.00 dollars in taxes last year with 34 felony accounts.
