✝️Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.✝️

Hello! I am thinking about doing Home Health again after working from home for 5 years as a prior authorization nurse. I really need some encouragement. Can you give me 5 reasons you love being a home health nurse. I know flexibility is #1
Well im not a nurse. Im a home health aide but ill tell you what i think Pros 1. You connect with your patient more 2. You arent stressed, its just one patient 3. You can tell the agency your schedule and theyll work around it 4. No coworkers or boss watching over you 5. You might do a lot of simple stuff like if they watch tv you sit with them. So you might have some free time while the patient rests. Cons 1. The family is home and will tell you how they want things done. Not all families some are calmer than others. 2. No boss or coworker, if you are social you will feel bored or sad. If you are introverted you will feel great 3. Sometimes they might treat you like a maid. Maybe not you as a nurse but as a aide sometimes you will cook or do laundry for the patient 4. No way to expand your knowledge. Its just one patient with the same health issues. No way to practice any other kinds of treatments or procedures 5. Some houses can be dirty or the environment might not be the best. But it depends and in reality any job can have a bad environment
You can either do home health (multiple patients) or home care ( 1 patient). I prefer multiple patients. I get to go to multiple homes throughout the day and I write my own schedule. I love the autonomy and flexibility of home health.

I currently work with Bayada and I'm already want to quit not because of the clients because I love helping seniors but it's the aides well the bad ones some of them are really mean to work around and don't communicate also a lot of the caregivers never show up on time to relieve the individuals who shifts have ended which is very unprofessional don't agree to a shift you can't be on time for its that simple
Hello, thank you for sharing your feedback and informing us of your experience. Your comments do concern us, as this is never an experience we would want anyone to have with our office. If you'd like to discuss your experience further, email us at feedback@bayada.com at your earliest convenience.
I'm a retired Home Health Aide, I see they are still trying to knock down home care, that nurse was right. We do everything from empty a urine bag, changing a occupy bed we do everything. No body there just us and the patient and a telephone. Been there and done that!!!
My name's Micah Edwards, 58 yrs of age. I credit myself to being an excellent, home care giver, and achiever in cleaning. My Mother was home cared for by myself, and sister Demetrice. She passed away last April after a lengthy sufferer of dementia. I was in charge of her medication taking, range and motion exercises, hair and nail care, sister did the bathing but I helped move her with a lifting appriratus to the tube. I take pride in my knowledge for home care being I'm nothing close to being a qualified nurse. I did learn the qualifications for home care. Blood and pulse taking. Medication dispensing. Cleaning, meals, bathing, bed pans, bed lifting, body rotations every two hours, checking for bed sores, clipping nails of hands and feet. I learned patience, tolerances, and speech in soft tones to maintain a calm surrounding. I'm healthy, strong, and capable of fast learning. Right now I'm still waiting for my identification card from The Department of Transportation her in Tucson. I came to Tucson 3 months prior to today's date. I'd love nothing more than to care for any seniors needing my help. Thank you for any considerations you have towards me. Until then I'm Micah A. Edwards, needing to help.
