Hi Daniel, what sort of annual engine maintenance cost am I looking at for the 2x300hp at ~50 engine-hours per year on this boat? Maybe £500 for the mandatory annual check-up (oil/filter/spark plus change, etc.), and £900 every other year for the 100-hour service? Does it make a difference if I leave it in the water year-round?
Good morning. Thank you for your message. Apologies for the delay in replying, I was away on annual leave last week. Yamaha don’t differentiate between the 50 hour and 100 hour services, so each year it will be due an annual/100 hour service. The cost of the service, for a Yamaha F300 would be £625 including VAT, to include labour, engine oil, oil filter, gearbox oil, engine fuel filter, and consumables. Price per engine. Any additional parts, such as anodes, spark plugs, water pump or anything else required would be charged for additionally. Additionally, you will need to budget for a lift and, and relaunch. This would be approximately £416 for a lift and chock ashore, and £375 for a relaunch. The boat will be antifouled, budget to recoat the antifouling once a year, or once every two years, and also to replace the bow thruster anode. I hope that helps. If you require more detailed information, I would be pleased to have our service department get in touch. Kind regards, Daniel Yeates BHG Marine Ltd
@@bhg-marine No problem about the response time, Daniel, and thank you for the detailed and informative reply, even though I had hoped the numbers were a bit more modest for the annual service 😅 Let me sleep on this; the many Series 1 models offered in France for below €140k do look tempting, but maintenance cost will be even higher, and of course they don't have the wonderful fold-down balcony of the S2...
@@TheUrbanEpicure Yes, sure. Yes, there are some Series 1 boats around, although it's quite a different boat. With the stepped hull, it needed a lot of power to perform at its best. And there are of course some nice new features on the Series 2. Additionally, on the Series 2 you would have the latest Yamaha steer-by-wire engines, to which you can add the joystick control. The new generation of V8 engines are a fantastic option on these boats. Are you based in the UK, or France? There are VAT complications, now we have left the EU. I'm happy to discuss any of this in more detail over phone or email. 01590 613600 or danielyeates@bhg-marine.co.uk
@@bhg-marine Thanks for the added insight, Daniel. You might be overstating the differences between Series 1 and 2 there a bit; in any case, the price difference is probably big enough to accept the missing features of the Series 1. While, at this size, the joystick starts to make sense, it's an option worth €1,500 to me, not €15,000, so I'll gladly skip that one. I am based in a different EU country and boat in France, so I should be fine re VAT.
Great overview of the boat. I just bought a 2018, but I love the improvements to the Series 2. Well, price was right for me, and I'm happy with the boat. Funny, two things changed on the new boat is a deck hatch that opens from the front (I un-installed and turned mine around). I also did away with the center brace in the under sink cabinet. I added magnetic closures also. Now if I can find a way to cut a hole in the side of the boat to allow boarding from the side.....LOL!
Thank you. The new Yamaha controls are now available on these boats as standard. It will come with the new 6X9 twin engine control box and the CL5 digital colour touchscreen included with the Yamaha rigging. On certain boats like the 1095, the joystick control is also available. This isn't available on the 895 though.
Jeanneau SERIOUSLY have to redesign their side window latches. You can easily break into these boats just by lightly tapping the windows while pushing them aside. The lock on your sliding doors are useless... (I am a boat mechanic, not a thief)

are you kidding me . no comments on this beautiful boat , im an old fisherman that could never afford this amazing boat . this vlog and boat are very well presented and i love yah work Jeanneau .
Do not waste money on such lousy quality #Beneteau delivers!!! I purchased #Beneteau 90B form official #Beneteau dealer and it was delivered in March 2021. The worst buy ever. After just two months, on two places which are not exposed to any force, gelcoat simply cracked and needs to be repaired and the cockpit table, made of the worst plywood covered with so unbelievably thin layer of wood, started to peel off though it was never exposed to water or any moisture. Vessel was delivered without the contracted equipment (boiler and instruments) and even after 3 months the official #Beneteau dealer #GalijaYachting didn't provide gear fitting and there is no #BeneteauCustomer Service you can contact and ask for assistance and intervention as all links on the #BeneteauSite lead to the same unprofessional and ignorant dealer. You will have to pay approximately 100.000 EUR for this lousy quality and service plus engines. I have no doubt that for money there is so much better offers on the market.
Not in the UK, but maybe in the USA as they have different restrictions on towing. The boat weighs 3060kg without engines, dry. With engines, batteries, fluids etc it weighs approximately 4000-5000kg.
Hi, Nice vidéo. I noticed on another 2021 the holding tank gauge, and not on this one, is it an option for 2021? Is it available for the water tank too? Is the Side Power bowthruster is also on the other Jeanneau line up, like the Marlin?
I believe the new Merry Fisher 795 has a holding tank gauge as the tank is under the deck and below the waterline, pumped out with a macerator pump. The 895 has a holding tank in the side of the boat, higher up, and is emptied by gravity, so it doesn't have a gauge. There isn't a gauge option for the water tank, but a dealer could probably fit a sender and a gauge for it. Side Power is the standard bow thruster for the Jeanneaus for 2021 onwards, yes.
