I couldn’t find a RU-vid channel that is a one stop shop for providing meaningful weather updates and at the same time proliferating interesting dynamical aspects of weather & climate. This is the motivation behind this channel.
Vision: Weather and monsoon updates + educational videos on many interesting weather & climate processes and their dynamics. I will also probe a little into agriculture & geography time to time.
----- A channel dedicated to give updates on daily/weekly weather patterns, and monsoon forecast during the monsoon season.
Also, uploading educational videos on many interesting aspects of meteorology and ocean dynamics. All this for the benefit of students, weather enthusiasts, researchers & journalists. -----
Please #Subscribe to this channel. Let us be #WeatherReady.
How do we know the effect of Rossby wave in the troppause by using temperature data and how can I take the wave number at a given this temperature data?
Nicely explained what MISO & MJO are? Could I ask you one question? How does south India will get good rains if westerlies are weak (i.e, monsoon is weak)? If I am wrong, could you please explain once more?
Sir first of all very informative video thanks for it. But can you please tell how can GCMs be used to predict precipitation i am not getting any information regarding it Please Help Sir Any link or any video you can make on how to use GCMs and RCMs for predicting Rainfall for future
@@sanjibsarkar3906 when WD gives snowfall in northern areas cold wind blows to the NW India from the hilly area these winds are cold so thats why it is known as cold wave. there are some criteria also.
But We generally associate low pressure regions with high temperatures like at equator, how id then the negative phase (high pressure) is hotter in arctic oscillation? Please explain.
I don't think its scientific to direct relate AO oscillation directly to temperature over India, unless showing proof or research regarding it. AO is a teleconnection only. and relate it for a singular period for a region far 1000's KM from india is not correct. I do not think is a professional way.
There are research papers talking about AO and its impact on mid latitude Rossby wave and subsequent effect on temp over India. You can check them out. We do not post anything without checking out physics or dynamics. Our claims have solid dynamical underpinning, as also explained in our other videos.
@@weatherandclimate3749 AO effect Atmospheric Rossby wave - but linking it to heat over india does not make sense unless it has been proved climatologically
The cyclonic circulation that was supposed to become a storm... But didn't pick up strength because of the malakas typhoon... Do you think we can expect cyclones in the remaining days before monsoon?
That was a great video! It helped me brush over my concepts making them even more clear as well as provided a good understanding of many new concepts which were difficult to grasp otherwise. I loved how you explained the waves and its propogation. I was wondering if you have talked about the different kinds of zonal waves in extra-tropical regions in any of your videos? Additionally, have you also covered how to obtain vorticity, stream-functions EOFs and FFT plots using climate data in a software? Any leads would be appreciated! Thank you very much for this informative 37 minutes!
Thanks for the encouraging words. We haven’t covered the EOF or FFT analysis since the idea is to focus more on dynamics. Regd. Waves, there is a basic video on our channel. You can watch and give your feedback.
