Small agricultural contractor based in the south of Ireland, love everything machinery and animal based so here I am trying to show how we do it 😎 enjoy and SUBSCRIBE !!
During the hedgecutting ban between the first of March and the end of August you’re still entitled to cut roadside grass verges and even cut long grass only with hedge cutters instead of the hedges or tree’s themselves. Nothing ever nests in grass.
Ya I’m aware of that, did I mention something in video that says otherwise ? Regardless of that regulation I’d never put hedger in anytime outside of the ban as you’d never have enough work that time of year anyway
@@Carlowman88ya massive at the time don’t no off my head but was couple thousands in it, McConnell have some what a better name but both machines do same job in my eyes. Andrew is a1 we got baler off him too
@@JGormo11811I drive that road everyday of my life man, trucks do 90k up and down it 100 times a day as it’s a main road not a back road. Thanks for the concern tho 👍
@@pak6103 ya been there done that myself, just make sure u have all things checked over on the paperwork side of things and there’s no spelling mistakes as u have to get through airports first.. other than that side of things it’s just like being at home and you’ll get settled in very quickly tbh, u don’t need to take any work boots as they are strict about bringing in disease into the country and would recommend buying some outside plus it saves weight in the suitcase, don’t pack over heavy as you rlly won’t need all the clothes u think which I learned the hard way 😂 simple thing like making sure ur phone is unlocked to any network is something ppl don’t think about as you’ll need to get a newzealand SIM card.. other than that it’s just a learning curve rlly. What part u heading to
@@pak6103 depends on the person u working for, when I was there my first time I had very little time free and hardly got to sleep 4/5 hours most nights but every place is different but they all try take week off for Christmas and new years as time to do ur own thing… north island has better climate than south
Great video, thanks.Nice selection of blues How do you find the Autopower compared to Power command ? Those Hauer loaders are very well made,i have one of the older ones.
@@yant8777 don’t have power command but auto command is lovely to drive but I’m sure it comes with big cost if anything goes wrong…. Range command definitely the most reliable of the options
@@Jasonculhaneagri where in Limerick? I'm not working at the moment if you are stuck I could give you a hand, the only thing I haven't done is bailing, I'm from freemount in co cork, not far from charleville
@@eire77 well obviously that does all vary on the contractors price but on an average price I wouldn’t say it’s that bad for the farmer, the contractors price isn’t the biggest problem with the farming industry and is definitely not the biggest issue farmers have with all the other red flags making it hard for them to make money (that’s just my opinion)
Well all I can see is that they don’t want us farming anymore and have made it clear they want to cut the national herd size but are just doing it in a round about way such as ( calendar farming, schemes that try make us stop farming land for “free money”, things such as holding onto calves longer which means some farmers need to spend more money they won’t make back 🤷♂️🤷♂️
