I don't want to pick sides, I'm just interested in getting to the truth, to find out who actually has good protection dogs, one of you, both of you, or neither. As far as I can tell by looking at the youtube videos, your dogs do seem to display more aggression, more will to engage, more speed, and more obedience. This can not be understated. However, I also like the ideas and principles that Mr. Robinson is presenting. I know the amount of effort he put into learning and refining his craft as a dog breeder is enormous. I know that his breeding is based on the constant feedback loop that he gets by observing his own dogs directly, rather than just learning from someone else. I think we can also agree that his dogs look more athletic, for whatever it's worth. So again, I don't want to take anything away from the dogs that you are training and producing, but with all his knowledge, experience, and the effort that I know Mr. Robinson puts into breeding his dogs, I'm also having a hard time believing that his dogs are not amongst the best protection dogs in the world. As far as I understand his position, if a dog exhibits too much aggression in training, it's due to the insecurity and nervousness. This may cause the dog to attack someone who is actually innocent. Also, because of the insecurity and lack of prey drive, such a dog may not follow through AFTER the initial defense the dog has put up. It may release the assailant prematurely, allowing him to continue causing harm. In an event an assailant tries fighting off the dog, the dog with insecurities will let go and submit to the assailant. As far as I understand your position, your videos "demonstrate the superiority of your dogs, and it's an indisputable fact". So who is right? You, because you demonstrate the evidence, or him because he provides the rationale? Since I'm commenting on your video, I will try to poke holes in your position, so don't take it personally. My biggest question for you is, how do you know that your evidence is relevant in the real world? How do you know that your dogs are not just putting up a big show, and they will not tuck their tail and run when they perceive the real threat? Another question I have is, how much of a liability are your dogs? Specifically, how much effort do you have to put to ensure that your dog does not attack someone innocent? During situations when you can NOT focus on your dog 100%, is there a risk that your dog will attack someone for no reason, and you will not react quickly enough to call it off? Will your dog listen to other family members when you are not around, just as well as it listens to you? Will your dog actually listen to you when there is real adrenaline in its blood? How much effort do you have to put to train your dog to such a high level of obedience? Is it reasonable to expect other people, who have full time jobs unrelated to dog training, to be able to train one of your dogs to such a high level of obedience? And here's another nuance... again don't take it personally, but the way you are talking in your videos, it sounds like you are just trying to troll him, in an effort to bring more viewers to your channel, mentioning his name all the time, trying to be provocative, stirring up drama, and not being particularly respectful at times. So I'll be honest, for now your claims do not sound trustworthy to me. But you have every opportunity to prove me and everyone else wrong. My guess is, before Lee Robinson can agree to debate you live, he first needs to trust you that you will treat him with respect and honesty, and you are not just trying to take advantage of his reputation to bring viewers to your channel. I would love to hear the two of you debate live, in the interest of bringing out the truth, whatever it may be. Perhaps, the two of you could have a discussion in private at first, over the phone? I do believe that it's up to you to make this happen, given that you are the underdog on youtube. However, if you do manage to make it happen (the live conversation), MANY people will be very thankful to you. But it needs to be done constructively, with both of you guys being prepared to agree to disagree, as well as to accept the possibility of defeat, rather than starting the discussion believing that each one of you is 100% correct, and the opponent is 100% wrong. Finally, perhaps you could get in touch with Battle Bred K9, and have him interview you on his channel? I do love the way he asks questions during his interviews, and how he manages to bring out the best in people. So him interviewing you may be very helpful in expressing your position better, not to mention will bring you more views.
I'm talking about his training style. It's not very controversial. Common sense tells you that that type of training style isn't good for protection dogs.
Okay. Just telling you what I found on the topic. Sounds correct that you would need a licensed vet to give and register the shot. They have shot days here too, but for parvo, not rabies.
You’re delusional man. Anyone readying this, please know this man is completely wrong. The video I believe this man is talking about is a video with Lee’s dog scratch. In the video, Lee is showing that his dog is not concerned with the prey item and he is completely focused on the man. It’s not fake. I can attest to this. I’ve been on Lees yard and I have a dog from Lee. This guy is simply trying to get clicks. What a fraud. I hope Lee takes you up on your offer. His dogs are extremely driven and full of fight. And scratch is on another level 💯💯
I like to use my inside voice so in the event I raise my voice they know I’m even more serious than I am when I’m not as loud. For me, my Corsos come factory with the protection instinct so I mainly work on the obedience, and an out command, in addition to biting and hanging on to it, no sleeves or anything yet at this point, obedience number 1. Awesome dogs for sure!
Few dogs will truly protect without training. A common misconception is thinking because a dog is of a certain breed it will just naturally protect. But yes, obedience is the foundation.
You've talked a lot about not using treats after the dog is about 6 months old, but you're using them now. Under what circumstances will you use treats after that age?
Backwards. I trained her without treats for her first year. Just a leash and flat collar. Before one year, I use treats for muzzle acclimating, and sometimes, for successfully returning when called. Be sure to check out my livestream on Saturday mornings. I talked about some of this last time. Does that answer your question? Thanks.
If you were talking about the video he put up about a month ago, Someone else put up a video showing how that dog isnt serious. He also. Has defamatory content in the description of that video.
Obedience is one of the criteria for a good protection dog, but ultimately, it comes down to actually confronting a threat and being able to withstand the punishment that comes along with it. Alot of "protection dogs" lack aggression and usually back up once they have been punched or kicked or, worse, hit with a metal bar. Most protection dogs are just sport dogs with obedience, which is useless in a real confrontation.
He bro send that fuker a cease and desist order to stop and remove any comments that are defamation. Will be the fast and cheapest way to get him to stop that crap. Send certificate mail with return signature get a person/worker at the post office to witness the letter before you seal.. If you need help drafting that letter, let me know!
I was a Bite Suit guy to get free dog training in years back. Then traded it out to a different person. Had the best dog, never to bite a soul. But most feared him. It was the best to see him escort the cops threw my home on a B.S. cooked up KNOCK AND TALK. Stop and sit at the entry to each room. He was trained to search each room in the home. The cops hated him leading them around as I sat on the sofa and said. ""Check it all out"", then went to each door and sat there and me saying NEXT DOOR from the sofa. To the next room he went. In the end as they left SORRY WE WERE MISTAKEN, You have the scaryest dog ever and this was coming from to big cops. They did not expect for me to let them enter, called there bluff and they got exposed to a real guard dog.I've seen dogs that would move to any exit window door and not let you leave with a gerrowl till owner used the word exit and he walked away and you left in fear.
You should not antagonize your own protection dog. Doing so is dangerous, counterproductive, and can lead to serious consequences. Protection dogs are specifically bred and trained for aggression and to bite when threatened. Antagonizing such a dog could trigger their protective instincts and potentially result in the owner or family members getting bitten. The likelihood of accidental bites with protection dogs is already high, and deliberately provoking them only increases this risk. Furthermore, antagonizing a protection dog goes against proper training and management principles. These dogs require consistent handling, clear boundaries, and a strong bond with their owner based on trust and leadership. Deliberately antagonizing the dog would undermine this relationship and the dog's training. Protection dogs need to be carefully managed due to their strong temperaments and protective instincts. They should never be given too much unsupervised freedom or be off-leash in unsecured areas. Antagonizing such a dog could lead to loss of control and potentially dangerous situations. Instead of antagonizing, owners of protection dogs should focus on: - Maintaining proper training and reinforcement of commands - Socializing the dog appropriately - Building a strong, trusting bond with the dog - Understanding and respecting the dog's capabilities and limitations - Ensuring responsible ownership and management to prevent accidents or liability issues In summary, antagonizing a protection dog is extremely ill-advised and goes against all principles of responsible ownership and proper handling of these specially-trained canines.
