Nice video. This is the first tarot review video that I’ve seen where someone showed the deck being reviewed next to the RWS deck and this is very helpful. I also like that you pulled a card and read from the guidebook after. Guidebooks are important to me, as a beginner, and often they are brushed over in videos. I like this deck and am very seriously considering getting it along with the compendium. Thank you for a great video.

Yes I am baffled as to why more tarot reviewers don't highlight them as they give you insights about the background of the deck , the why, which I love to read about and it helps understand some of the cards I struggle with.
It looks like a combination of art from the urban crow oracle and the crow tarot major arcana. Not sure I could justify purchasing it as I already have both of those decks, but it is put together really beautifully. Is the cardstock similar to the Raven's Dream Tarot?
Thank you for watching! Yes, she has stated in the guidebook the deck draws inspiration from the Crow Tarot and the insights of the Urban Crow Oracle. It is indeed a beautiful deck and I have enjoyed all of her decks so far. Yes , the cardstock is similar to the Raven's Dream Tarot. It is a tough choice on if you should buy the deck . But she will more then likely do more printings of it so you can always take your time on your decision.
I love your work -- would you ever do walkthroughs on how you interpret decks? sharing your own meanings/interpretations based off of the images. decks like this and the 2nd addition would be really cool to see your take on them.

This is super cute but it's a very static deck. The cards are very samey. I adore cats, especially black cats, so I would buy it for the artwork. But as far as reading into the cards for the tarot meaning, these cards don't really tell much. Virtually all the cards are just a cat sitting there staring at you with symbols added or removed. The cats themselves don't tell a story like other cat decks do (Tarot of Pagan Cats, Tarot of the Cat People...). I love how dark it is but I personally think it needed more.

After I got the deck I used it for a bit and have added it to my collection shelf and have pulled it out from time to time. I have a lot of decks and when the mood strikes me I like to use different decks. 😊
Thanks for watching the video. Yes, the Insight Editions decks are sometimes a hit or miss with people. I agree that if I have trouble with the art work the deck just is harder to work with and it's just not worth my money to spend on it.

Thank you so much for the flip through. I keep wanting to love this deck, but Insight Editions messes up their decks by making them all pip decks. I have nothing against pip decks when they are done well, but this deck had so much potential to be so much better. I have been obsessed with The Dark Crystal since I was young. So obsessed that my oldest daughter is named after Kira. This deck is such a disappointment for me because it feels like they rush through their decks to pump out as many different decks as they can. I don't own any of their decks. I was so hoping that this would be better. I still have not purchased it and don't know if I will.
Thank you for watching the video. Insight Editions is just one of those types of companies that banks on the nostalgic and hope people will buy them for that reason. So many decks with so many lost opportunities. This is one of the reasons I created this channel . So many times I've bought decks and been disappointed that I figured there were more people out there like me just wanting to get a good look at the deck. But follow your gut if the deck doesn't appeal to you. I'm glad I saved you from buying the deck and spending the money to feel like you wasted it. It means alot that I'm helping others . I'm sorry the deck didn't work for you, maybe one day someone will make a good one for the Dark Crystal Fans.

I have this deck in my cart on Etsy and am so enchanted by the imagery however I’m trying desperately to behave lol. Holidays are pretty much here and I need to actually shop for others and not keep gifting decks to my self 😆 💜
It is a beautiful deck indeed. I know all too well the enchanting spell these decks put on us and were torn between nooooo I can't to aww come on you know you want it! Lol But this deck is always in stock and you can drop little hints to people about what you want and if nobody buys it for you for Christmas then you should treat yourself. 😊
As a child of the 80s, I love the Dark Crystal and also the Netflix series as well.... it is sad they cancelled after 1 season... This is an interesting looking deck though :)
I have heard some good reviews on the series and it is sad that Netflix is cancel happy it seems. The deck is good for the memories it stirs in the heart 😊
Can I ask which Rider Waite your pairing this with? Love the bright colours. The Diablo deck is gorgeous and has great texture but some of the cards seem kind of off. It’s a lot of dark!

i had a sock monkey in the 50s, sure glad that it didn't have all those red pompoms on it or i would have been more afraid of it. guess i wasn't a normal kid.
I had one myself and sadly my dog at the time loved it as well and kept stealing it . No I don't think you not normal for that :) Everyone shares a fear of what they think is silly.
@@JustACrone oh my gosh, dogs chewing! so sorry for your 4 legged bandit stealing your sock monkey, pry didn't last long huh? we had a dachshund that chewed the leg off my patty play pal at mid-thigh, i was broken hearted. she was brand new & we were supposed to go get her a new outfit after my nap but instead i woke up to murder. lol you cannot play well with a huge doll that can't stand up, i mean she became patty the pathetic patient right? dogs & dolls just don't mix well.
omg thank you so much for sharing your reviews on these decks with us! i went out & bought all 5 of his decks in this style today, well actually i didn't buy them my guy did! lol i was showing him the shadow journey & telling him that i wanted to buy one of the oracles to go with it & opened the listing for the bundle of 5 & he got all excited telling me i should have them all! i am so excited. i don't think i have ever been this excited about getting any decks before, truth is i believe i would be this happy with just the shadow journey alone but hey he told me to use his card & wanted me to have all 5 soooo.... 🥰

@@JustACrone of coarse i had to tell you, you are the only one who would understand. lol i am with you on being in love with his art style. i had to curb myself from asking when the next in the set was coming out cuz i didn't want to pressure him, he seems such a nice guy. i would like more in the same style but would also be interested in something a little different. i've looked at as much of his art as i could find & it does appear to all follow this style so far but... i am also an artist & know that we can change so much from time to time. it is an addiction as well, in fact i already have visions of adding something of his style to my own, that will be fun. i won't try to copy him but his work has definitely brought to mind visions. he is into so much that i have been all my life, ancient architecture, nature, CATS, mystical fantasy & fairytales omg i cannot wait. hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I love this deck. I purchased it after seeing the art work on Etsy. The imagery just spoke to something in me. Usually it takes me a few spreads to become comfortable with a deck, however from the interview spread my 1st time time using it, I felt at home with it. ❤❤❤
