This video is about the real estate services provided by Vivien Sharon rather than a tour of Rosedale. The video is constantly interrupted to promote her services.
As a Pakistani foreign resident living Brampton, I would love to help out by buying one of those Rosedale homes and giving affordable rent to multiple African refugee families. Why should Canadians enjoy the nicest properties?
Ya , surrounded by slums TCHC AND ONPH FILLED WITH CRIMINALS! TORONTO IS A DISGUSTING DISASTER RIGHT NOW! The worst city council the worst traffic it has become an open air prison for the scum protected by NDP
Hello Vivien, I really enjoyed your video and story. I'm looking to start a similar tradition in my family, and will be scoping out a few seaside towns in Liguria / Tuscany this summer, to eventually buy a vacation apartment there. Do you know of any small rental apartments in Alassio? We're also considering Diano Marina, but I heard Alassio is more upscale and exciting. Best, Lina
My family grew up there in the 50’s, but alas no longer…. If someone reading this is interested in fantastic art I sell it on my page here, if you buy some, maybe I’ll return one day:)🎉
My curiosity got the best of me so I watched this all the way through and I can’t stop laughing. I imagine this is/was owned by a very rich elderly widow who had more money than brains. She probably thought she had exquisite taste - heck maybe she was even an interior decorator lol. I just pity this poor realtor who has the job of offloading this relic in today’s market.
Hey! Millenial here! Thanks for pointing out this aspect of the housing squeeze. I don't blame boomers. I blame parasitic billionaires. Here are some of the things that tilted the field against my friends and me personally: 🌸college loans period (no not just "usless" non-STEM degrees) and rising college costs 🌸falling wages since the late 20th century 🌸housing market crash and the vampiric real estate investors who swooped in and profited on sorrow 🌸real estate investment firms that own thousands (even tens of thousands) of housing units 🌸lack of health benefits (paying dental/etc out of pocket at 100's for even routine visits) goodbye savings if you arent useful and healthy 🌸low interest rates meant to benefit those who needed homes being taken advantage of as an easy investment by the rich 🌸AIR F@$*&NG BNB (Not the spare room air bnb's but the corporate-owned air bnb businesses that buy up chunks of whole neighborhoods) 🌸Rising rent (in some cases hundreds of dollar increase in one year) 🌸steep fall in quality USA manufacturing jobs since the 80's- 90's 🌸decrease in taxes on the nesting-doll-yacht-owning-class (so we non-billionaires pay more for our military/roads/schools/police despite them benefiting from the workers they hire) 🌸Difficult and alienating housing regulations that make it hard to "legally" build simple shelters that aren't on wheels without becoming a part time real estate paralegal. (The more confusing the process, the easier it is for banks and corporate builders) 🌸Zoning also makes it harder for smaller builders to make more homes or larger units for multiple families because the folks who already own homes and are retired have the free time to vote against allowing housing developments to be built. 🌸Unfair property taxes so the rich can sit on properties. Here in Asheville, we have an abandoned Kmart that paid less than a grand a year while a retired man was paying thousands for his house. The last few are especially frustrating since it really takes the mask off. Many of these rules appear to only serve and protect the rich who might one day have your house in their portfolio. Forget prioritizing getting people off the streets. Also if you work long shifts for low pay, you have to miss hours to even meet with the housing code folks (assuming you have "legally buildable land")
Vivien, people do not think about seniors upsizing. Good and informative. A twist on what people think is the norm for a senior, move from the house to a condo - which is not for everyone.

I guess a lot of old stores on Bloor and Yonge streets of Toronto must be closing due to condo development I suppose to modernize the areas. Is that correct?
