Hi everyone! My name is Cindy Guentert-Baldo, and I make mistakes ALL. THE. TIME. I take on too many commitments, overload myself with too many projects and am generally running around in a self made hurricane most days. This channel documents my quest to plan my life while embracing my mistakes, and I encourage you to do the same.
Oh, and I have a potty mouth. Don't be surprised.
I publish new videos on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a weekly livestream on Sundays at 3:30pm MDT. You can find planners, lettering, art and a whole lot of uncensored shenanigans up in hurr.

As a barber stylist turned full time day I’m using this book as guide to stay focused on this journey goals and life style changing habits and environments, happy I found this channel
I think that’s the other problem with scrapbook or’s collage artist that sort of thing you guys assign yourself certain days or a certain time or a certain day where you have to scrapbook or that’s your designated day for it and for me I don’t do that I don’t I just do it whenever I feel it if I feel it I’m gonna do it. I don’t care if it’s a Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday for me I don’t care I’m gonna do it because I feel it and I know and it’s OK to start a spread and not finish it in that day. It’s OK if you have to go do one part of the spread and then you have to go to bed because you have work the next day and then finish the other half when you get home from work it’ll excite you it’ll make you like. Oh yeah, I got that beautiful project to do to finish off. Sometimes I do that too. I will work on a piece and I won’t finish it in one day and that’s the other part with you guys you guys at scrapbook and collage and all that type of stuff that I don’t like I do you guys assume oh I’m sitting down to scrapbook. I have to finish it in one day. No you do not. You can take 23 days to finish it if you need to that’s fine I’ve done that multiple times I’ve taken several days to do one scrapbook project. There’s nothing wrong with that. Let yourself have that freedom to be like OK I’m gonna do a little bit of a scrapbooking and work a little bit on the spread OK put it away till tomorrow morning and then tomorrow and then I’ll work on it again and finish it off like it allow yourselves to have unfinished scrapbook page that you have to finish the next day it’s fineand it’s OK to do that
And then all so to what I do is I try out stuff if I notice oh I like this I try to go get it again this is why I shop at the dollar store because the dollar store you can always find art supplies or it’s easy to fine you don’t work Timo Timo‘s easy to find similar stuffjust in a different colour scheme or whatever but also what I do is if I know I like something I go in rebuy it again if I can and if not, I try to find something similar that I know I’m going to like that way, I use it I’m not gonna buy and try new stuff all the time because if I do that I might final I didn’t like the stickers and then I don’t use the rest of the supplies up and then if I didn’t like it I don’t rebuy it again because it’s like I don’t like that’s OK I don’t like decorating with it or I don’t find very much creativity with it so I just going to go OK I’m not gonna buy like let’s say I bought greenwashing and I found myself not using it much and I just was like no then I won’t buy any green washy if I like to the printer something then I’ll go and buy a polkadot, Washington, black, and white or gray or silver or gold or something else that I know I’m going to use
I think that’s also the problem to you guys to buy new stuff and the first thing you want to do is use your new stash not your old stash and so with me I’m I’m one where I cycle stuff out so are use up use up use up OK gone all right now I can use a new one now I can use a new washy tape now I can usea new whatever I don’t just go off and just like I’ll just wash it takes two or less use it because it’s new and then neglect the old stuff because I I cycle it out that’s how I do mine and I keep my washy and whatever compact and say OK this is the this is where it goes in this case so I can only have this much washy in here so I gotta use some of these older washes get them out and get them used so I can one throw it out to use one of my newer ones and three buy new ones
That’s why I try to find what colour scheme you like and stick to it in that and then just kind of what you can find like if you like OK I like this printer whatever I’m sure you could find a very similar print or the same print in your colour scheme that you like and that’s where that’s what I do cause then my washy tapes are used up and then the you know it’s easy it’s not hard
I started scrapbooking. I figure it out OK what do I like to gravitate towards OK I don’t like green very much I don’t like yellow or orange or oh that type of stuff I’m not big on it I don’t really like it but I will use this this this this or this or that so that’s this is a colour scheme I like a lot of times that’s what I do when I go out no matter what I’m buying whether it’s ephemera whether it’s stickers whether it’s washy tape whether it’s whatever I’m buying What I do is I buy to my colour scheme that I like so I like blue purples greys pinks black white silver is gold gray and so that’s all I buy and I think that’s what’s the problem with some of you guys that scrapbook is that you guys just buy whatever you have to figure out what you guys like to use as a colour scheme what’s your favourite general things you like to use and then you build upon that only use And purchased things that are those colour scheme altogether that you know yes I’m going to use it and I think that’s what’s wrong with the scrapbook or‘s and stuff like I see what your issue is there I think part of it is I think you also have to figure out what are you, like OK you like Christmas print OK well try to find washy that is a specific colour you like like if your favourite colour is purple or pink or whatever by pink washy or whatever but you can buy the printer whatever I sound like a floral print but
That’s why for me I don’t buy I’d like a whole Lotta washy tape I do have some I did buy some new washy but I have a little bit older washy and so I’m like OK I’m going to use my older washy as much as possible in my collage work in my scrapbooking work Come in the fall and winter because I do want to truck some of them out but like for me, I always coordinate with what I like to decorate with so I like pinks, gold blacks, blues whites, purples, gold, silver that’s what I like that’s all I can decorate with really I am not big on. Do you know all different colour E blah blah blah it’s just too much for me it’s not more about the print it’s more about. I like to colour coordinate I like to have my standard colours that I like to decorate with white purple black goldsilver gray pink you know and that’s pretty much all I decorate with. I don’t really do anything else and that’s all I stand to use so that’s why for me it’s like I don’t have my random colours of washy tape I buy what I know I definitely will use the in the colour scheme of what I will use because then I know I’m going to use it it’s going to be used at some point and gone and a half to get new.
Im watching this 3 years later and absolutely loving it! I have 3 "planners," but 2 are really journals/diaries that i just like to have predated and enjoy the paper used by the printing company. I have ONE actual planner with all aspects of my life intersecting...if not, i would miss a million things!
Hey Cindy! Sending all the good vibes that you are healing and getting the care you need. The planner community is sorely missing one of its queens and most favorite people when you feel up to a short update. We miss you and hope all is well. ♥️
Sounds like you may have some deep hurts from Christians. If not then why the obvious frustration with something from an organization that you say you knew was Christian? I appreciate the honesty and taking the time to review something you had obvious prejudgement and prejudice against.
