What's up and welcome everyone my name is Ryan, owner and founder of Aerial-Pixel! Here on my channel I do drone and tech related content. I am a certified 107 remote pilot and love providing drone and photography related reviews, tutorials and product development. On our channel you can expect drone reviews, drone accessory reviews, camera comparisons, new products we develop and much more. I hope you'll find something you like here, fly safe, film safe! *PLEASE NOTE: Normally the Neo has 20-24 satellites locked with the camera mounted but not recording. Just like most 4K cameras when you start recording on the Go 3S the satellite count can drop slightly due to RF interference the camera produces. You should still get 14-16 satellites, still plenty to get a 3D Fix. After you start recording on the camera if you lose 3D fix just wait 30 to 60 seconds and your satellite count should recover. DO NOT fly the Neo at night with any type of payload, it will not fly well without the use of vision sensors using the remote. Be sure to thoroughly test in an open area at close range prior to serious use.*
As I don’t know insta 360, my suggestion is explain technical comparison like resolution between both, why you choose do this, insta 360 price, benefits for this, price for whole set, battery time using the set…
There are a lot of reviews specifically on the Insta360 Go 3S out there. Both the 3S and Neo are 4K, but not all 4K are created equal. When watching the flight footage pay attention to the trees in the background, the 3S has detail where it is muddy on the Neo footage. Benefits are explained in the video. Links with current pricing on both the camera and mount are in the video description. Expect a 10-15% flight time reduction with the added weight.
I'm sorry we don't sell on Amazon, just our website, Etsy and eBay. The Go 3S is better quality than the previous versions and better than the Neo camera in my opinion. Watch the flight footage and look closely at the trees in the background the Go 3S has detail where it's mud on the Neo.
I think it's a pretty good idea for Neo pilots that already have the Go 3S and want a bit better footage. But the Avata 2 is a more capable drone at a higher price tag. Pairing the Neo and the Go 3S you could almost have an Avata (drone only version).
Can you really use the Insta360 with the Neo in spite of the very strong magnet on the 360? I didn't think this possible, as even the tiny magnet of my watch strap affects the compass of my Dji RC2 controller!
The Action 2 may be too heavy for the Neo (56g vs 39g), and that is without a holder/protector. I haven't tested it yet, I will report back with how it goes.
If Dji releases an update to set the sharpness and contrast I don’t see the need of another camera.. if you need for profissional use, than neo is not for you.. thanks for the comparison side by side !
Please refer to the official regulations for C0 classification on page 29 here: eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:02019R0945-20200809 (1) have an MTOM of less than 250 g, INCLUDING PAYLOAD Adding 55g mount and camera to the drone would bring the MTOM to 190g, still under the 250g limit. However, DJI does not list any 3rd party accessory as an "Allowed Payload" so compliance solely lies with the operator.
I don't really recommend the Action 2 on the Neo, even though it is only 56g vs 39g that extra 17 grams makes a huge difference. In my testing with the Action 2 the Neo is forced to land due to the extra weight.
The camera on the DJI Neo isn't that great. The mount will give you other camera options to get better quality footage, change frame rates, resolution and color science.
It works but I have to rescan the second QR code to activate the feature again (11 Black). When it comes back on, it says “repairing your file”. I’ve used multiple cables. Any ideas?
Sounds like you may have a slow SD card and it is taking too long to write the recorded file. Either try a faster SD card or use the QR Control app to make your own code that extends the time between when power is disconnected and recording stops. Note that manually turning on or off the camera will also require you to scan the QR code again.
Unfortunately the original Osmo Pocket waterproof case won't fit the Pocket 3. DJI didn't make a dive case for it either. You can find a few aftermarket dive cases similar to this: amzn.to/3BAoifk We have not done a video on the Pocket 3 magnetic mount, any specific questions?
Yes, you obviously need the correct connector on the camera side (not the GoPro Bones cable). Then you need to verify your cameras input voltage and make sure it is compatible.
We've had several Go Pro's over the years and this F****ing issue had me about to dump Go Pro for one of their competitors. Talk about taking a step back in performance when a good portion of their customers use alternative power sources! I use mine as a dash cam and have used my GP Hero 9's without issue all day long with external power banks. Excited to buy a new GP12 only to get errors every time I try to use it. Ugggh. Go Pro the company needs to wake up! Thanks for the detailed and thorough fix.
The idea behind shooting on a separate camera that offers 24fps is to get a more natural cinematic look. Higher frame rates tend to be too sharp. 100fps is fine to shoot and bring into a 25fps PAL timeline, but with a 24fps NTSC timeline you'll get framedrop causing a bit of a stuttery look. In my opinion going from 100fps to 25fps still doesn't give you that cinematic look of shooting 24 or 25fps natively.
No need to spend mroe than $100 or so at this point. The Fulaim and Comica are a wash and are a great buy. I own the Fulaim and have used it for a semi pro shoot and it delivered great audio.
Had Lume Cubes & mouint for my Mavic Pro; now looking to do same on my Mavic 3 Classic.... hope to find the mounts -- have the cubes (work great over past 6 years)...
