anybody know who the black bassist is? I've not seen him outside of a couple of performances and this image, is he the original bassists and secondary fry-screamer?
I love this bassline, does anyone know of thomas wrote it, or was frank writing the bass lines during the unlikely event. In a lot of interviews thomas says he wrote most of the basslines when tim was in the band. Just wondering if anyone knows.
I think that version where they are prepping for tour in basement, I’m almost positive he let Frank throw his sauce on it.. could be wrong we all know Thomas writes most of it, but imo has more franks flavor boss
Look behind, Push inside You'll lose your mind, Let go just do it. Blinking lights that float in time, Flashing signs we are deducive Call you on the phone, You know I'm not alone But what's exciting about dial tones? Disconnect the fantasies I have are infinite I wanna get you off, I wanna touch your soul. Turn your tricks to damn my days. You were the way. Tell me how you get down. I wanna show you things you've never ever seen before. Bad, bad girl The things you twirl. Help me remember forever these nights we spend together. Told you once before there's locks on all the doors. Pull the curtain closed then lay you on the floor. Tonight's the night we make it right, Tonight's the night we soar. I'm going to show you things, You've never seen before Call your friends while you can They can understand Can you see your eyes above me? With that look on your face or your staggering pace. Now you're begging for... Now you're begging for me
Something I don't understand about this band is there demos (this one and ghostship) always sound better than the finished albums. I love Doppelganger but ghostship demos could have been so much better. For example mcauly mcculkin is better on the demos than on Doppelganger.
@@emili0xThe production on OK and Unlikely event is pretty good if you ask me. Whereas Doppleganger sounds a bit DIY. You saying the dude who produced Unlikely Event told them to scrap Vomiting Winter? It's possible but my experience is "big-time" producers usually don't tell a band what songs to track. Colin Marston could be a good choice for F.O.T.
Does anyone know what Thomas is saying at 3:32 ? He says those lyrics twice at the end there and it’s my absolute favourite part of the song whilst the screams over the top are going “now you’re begging for, now you’re begging for” I fucking love those classic vocals from Thomas, goosebumps. EDIT: genius lyrics have it as “this is how you come to fear my name” but I feel like it’s a tad different to that. EDIT (AGAIN): it is indeed those lyrics. I’m talking to myself at this point and I don’t care because I love this band too much. I’m out of breath.
Legitimately the only good song from “In the Unlikely Event”. I’m glad it wasn’t on the actual album because then I would have been forced to keep that shit record.
Erak wanted to explore a different path with In the Unlikely Event, fans jus wanted another Doppelgänger. ITUE is my least favorite FoT record, but there are some fantastic songs on it! Wish this one was on it too!
was this sourced from the usb that came with a special edition of "in the unlikely event" ? I could probably dig my copy up and see if that quality is any better. contact me on here if you want to follow up at all
I'm not sure where I found this but it could very well be the same as the USB version. I would be interested to know as if a better recording exists, I'd love to hear it! After seeing the tour rehearsal video where they're playing it in the basement, I started hunting for a studio version online. I think I found this on a random forum back in about 2009/10 and it's just been on my hard drive since.
yeah its the same, that rehearsal video and this recording are the only official releases. the botched mixing is because the song is just a demo recording
Talvez precisem de um cara tipo #RickRubin pra voltarem a velha forma! tem um potencial enorme! a voz do Thomas Erak está diferente! talvez novas formas de cantar ajudaria ele!
