Aah Man, This is GREAT!!!...I Kissed a Girl for the first time during this scene at The RKO FORDHAM Theater in The Bronx back in '78.....GOOD MEMORIES!!!.....GREAT KISS!!!
I once (August 1995) crossed the US from Seattle WA to NY *by bicycle* and when I hear this music I get reminded on the landscapes of the West, especially Montana.
when I hear this music, I laugh like crazy because I remember harry and his wife dancing around throwing away their earphones so they don't hear their colleagues 🤣🤣
"The Fury" is unfortunately not well known but it is really one of the best films of Brian De Palma :) Every aspect of it is perfect : top actors, insanely beautiful score by the great John Williams, beautiful cinematography, excellent script (based on a book) that inspired a lot of stuff (Stranger Things for instance), sense of tragic mixed with fantasy (almost like a dark fairy tale)... Fun fact : Jean-Luc Godard was a fan of "The Fury" (and "Dressed to Kill" !), he even said in an interview (1998) that it was a "masterpiece" !! :)
This is one of the most prolific themes ever composed for a film ~ quite unique, as it has no recurring melody. This extended version is really cool, I like it very much.
I was 7 when it came out in the cinema, saw it with parents and it changed my childhood and part of my life. There's nothing else that ever happened to me in early life that was so big to me I thought the world would be different Everywhere after we walked out of the "theater". It was The One bigger-than-life experience I ever had that shook me to the bones as a child. This picture can >Only< effectively and respectably be seen on a giant cinema screen. It demonstrated Kubrick's Genius like no other Masterpiece I've ever seen. This Danube piece sent me into a rapture-like state with the pristine imagery on screen. Absolute.
