Spending plan is very weird. "Income after bills and savings" --> what insanity, that is not income anymore then right? Income is income - period. Then you list your expenses and you don't split them into bills and savings, planned spending and other. If you do then you lost all clarity on your expenses. Just categorize them in a single list that's all you need to do, not split them in three weird fuzzy ways. This drives me crazy about simplifi because that makes it not simple at all.
Simplifi does even compare to the old quicken from the 80s. 40 years later and things work less well than they did. 3 stars - there is a reason for that. The spending plan - doh just call it a budget because that's what it is - well that's what it should be but it is a hot mess with a weird layout. It is much simpler to track money than Simplifi makes it, bad choice of name, they should call it complicatifi. Just give me a straight up income section and an expenses section instead of this mess. 7 months in and I have no clue what my money is doing. I keep trying to figure it out and it is not intuitive at all. Oh yeah and I have a masters in finance from back in the 80s when life was simple.
