How do the fresh Viognier grapes taste? And yes, seeds are a given. I'm talking about the flavor qualities and balance of the flesh, which of course is influenced by the terroir, the environment, the weather,…. And seed qualities are a consideration also,… how easily crunchy or hard,… although doesn't mean one would crunch on the seeds or even consume the seeds,… but maybe,… just depends.
thx ,this was really useful information!We(4people) tasted a Yalumba Viognier bottle and Omg ,such a nice wine, you are note bored after a second glas!!!
Thank you for your quick replies, indeed the track is called ‘After the storm’ by a composer called David Schmidt. We hope you like it as much as we do.
'One fundamental truth?' Which part of your 'landscape' is 200 million years old? If you're serious about your geology, which this propaganda purports to suggest, it sounds like FDR1A and the Shiraz Viognier come from stuff around 500 million years old with a < 10,000 years-old 'dirt' topping; Paradox seems to come from a basement younger than 50 million years with a < 10,000 y.o. topping; and Steeple and Single Site Grenache from 1.8 million y.o. stuff with a similarly recent topping. Like so recent it got significant top-ups in the 1983 flood. If you use the science of geology for your marketing, or even soils, or, as you call them 'dirts,' which is even more flakey, at least you should check some geology, non? If it's 'fundamental truth' you're keen to grasp, or transmit, you'd be better off going back to Brian Walsh's suggestion that your appellations should follow the borders of the Lutheran parishes. At least they're distinct. Yours in the spirit of truth, Philip White
