Very good video, but I don't think we have to take the battery out. Also the mike seeding needs to be explained a little better. The black plastic enclosure, the part that has like a little hole needs to be facing down, to go into the kind of like a funnel on the phone chassis. Thank you.
Really a very clever and a creative way to replace the WIFI antenna without any need for removing the logic board, saving a lot of time and hassle of removing the logic board and all the cables are connected to it what most of other videos do, excellent thank you very much 5 STARS video
Well, I watched several videos and I'm sure I did everything right, but it seems like my problem lays somewhere else. The thing is that touch ID works but home button doesn't, and when I install new home button that I ordered it does the same thing, only thing different is that it does not have touch ID and I understand that, since it's not original. But yeah, I'm kinda out of ideas, anyone knows anything about this?
Thanks. Replaced the WiFi but then the LCD turns on but it’s black screen. I bought another cleaner LCD but it’s still black screen. I did the reset thing of holding power and home buttons lots of times but nada. I could tell the LCD is on but black. Any ideas or help?
Found this vid a little late but that is NOT how you remove the battery, it’s gonna end badly almost always, you’re supposed to pull those adhesive tabs out from the bottom, and if you’re lucky they won’t snap.
The tiny "Pain in the butt" screws are easily done - make a tiny hole in a piece of sellotape, sticky side up. put the screw through the hole, align the screw with the screwdriver, then stick the sides of the tape to the screwdriver shaft, the screw will stay in place until the threads are engaged, then you just pull the screwdriver and tape away and tighten the screw... Easy Peasy, first time every time
Thank you; very helpful! Just be sure to keep a hand above the screen when prying it open so that it doesn't fly up and break the home button strip. I didn't need heat to remove my home button; it came up easily with a fingernail.

I like how you guys are reshaping the chassis; but wouldn’t it have been better to remove the battery first?? So that the aluminum shavings don’t get in between the contacts and the connector???
When installing a screw, you should always turn it counter-clockwise first, so the screw can lock into the threads, then when you feel the screw slip into the detent position, only then should you start turning it clockwise. You will never strip the threads this way.
ok so this is a few years late BUT the word is not Adhesed, instead, it's ADHERED. Yes while we use the word adhesive, the fact remains something that has an adhesive is set it, is now Adhered.
