Some of these characters got fleshed out in the other games, but this game’s ending was made before that and just shows them hanging around. For example, did Reize talk to Spectre Knight? Did Phantom Striker and the villagers go back to the Lich Yard? It makes it too bad that this is the big definitive ending to the story.
Not counting the campaign heroes, Mole Knight, Tinker Knight and Propeller Knight arguably have the happiest endings Treasure Knight's dead, Polar Knight's living in isolation, Black Knight's still living his Batman life of solitude
I'm kinda upset you can't go back to the save and have everyone in the town congratulate you as a hero. You saved everyone from certain death and they don't even care.
That bastar of King Knight got what he deserved. Actually if he was for me I would have given him a much worse punishment.... like torturing him with a Tom of whips in the back. After what he did he totally deserves that.
A few things: First, Bahamut is a total dick! Second, I really loved how they show actual combat when the warrior gets hurt he gets protect and cure cast on him almost immediately..... Third, someone mentioned the absolute fear in the character's faces as Bahamut starts to cast Teraflare. This is how they should've done FF games from this point on and should be a textbook way companies look at rebooting games when they fail initially. (*cough cough Anthem)
I just beat this game and thought shield knight died at the end and that they were being extra cruel having her die right next to shovel knight since she was staggering so I thought she was on her last breaths so I was really sad... then I read the comments here and realized I’m stupid lmao THANK GOD (then again we didn’t see shovel knight wake up and realize she was dead so idk how I thought that lol) Such a good game!!

@@rusteddiamond7835 I don't think so. I don't feel like carrying out evil actions on account of one person just because you like them more than others is selfless at all. Meanwhile, Tinker Knight is only ever shown to act in self defense and is very explicitly stated to have only joined because he didn't understand the order was using his service for evil in the first place.
I like that in campaigns all the bosses get endings they deserve by the end of the timeline Shovel knight gets his friend back and completes his quest Plague knight is shown having fun with his friends and dancing with Mona, and helped saved the kingdom Specter got his locket taken but has undead friends in the cemetery King Knight is worse off then when you start his campaign (Ha!) Also I know the devs say that shovel of hope and plague of shadows take place separately but it still makes sense that both things happened so I say Everyone got a happy ending who deserved it and it all happened at once
They should make a campaign for every character, not just shovel knight, specter knight, plague knight, and king knight. For Treasure Knight, there should be a lot more money. For Mole Knight or whatever, it should be around the gimmick that you would be able to dig underground and go through walls. And maybe for Tinker Knight, well, uhh, you’re, uhhhhh, short and have to use the Mobile Gear thing to your advantage? Yeah, that could work.

I mean, even though King Knight deserved that he should mop the floor of the castle he claimed, I still fell kinda bad for him. He just wanted to be a King.
After what we saw in King Of Cards, he totally deserved that. Pridemoor got his home back but i think King Knight is still empty handed. I wonder did mother forgive him after this?
