Never knew you could keep the monster you're fighting there when it's downed by another monster by killing the invading one. Good hunt! Love the sneaky oyster loot, haha!
Charge Blade main here - I'm no pro but you could improve your gameplay a lot if you cancel your SAED into a regular AED more when you think it might miss, use guard points to power up shield mid combat and block monster attacks, and use your silkbind moves for positioning and filling up phials.
Some tips: Against Beast Wyverns like Lagombi and Arzuros, don't use SAED, use CSD and AED counters If you are gonna counter with SAED, use Advancing morph and CPP. You know what, just use Advancing Morph more in general. A lot of your openings were wasted on dodging and repositioning, AdvMorph lets you do all of that while maintaining your offense Also Weak Slash>Shield Thrust>SAED Windup is faster than the Axe Morph>SAED windup you do, the former combo also doesnt mess with your positioning
SnS Primary user here, I appreciate the video! I have minimal experience using charge blade however I would imagine some aspects carry over. I notice a lot of rolling to reposition which will drain your stamina and also lock your inputs mid-roll. I would suggest trying to get comfortable walking, though it sounds counter intuitive. Not sheathing your weapon but retaining the ability to begin any combo on the fly is very convenient, plus, consider you can always roll later as well. I tend to tell myself, if I am rolling more than once in succession, I didn't need to roll the first time. Aside from that, it looks like directional inputs are still being learned, and that will take time as you learn the various patterns and behaviors of monsters. Nice hunt and hoping to see you in the Forgotten Lands!
in mhw, when you start using your SAED (super amped elemental discharge) pull down on the left thumbstick to do a normal AED. Now you dont have to worry about missing SAED and wasting phials. Idk if they kept this mechanic in rise but yeh, there you go.
To be honest I think the main three characters actually line up, but not how the video shows: Harry is the prophetic child, so should clearly be some version of ciri. Both have green eyes as well.(Though to be fair he does kill a basilisk, however in terms of role in the story he's a little closer to Ciri, also being the chosen one) Hermione and Yennefer are both curly haired witches, and kind of the mother of the group haha, so Hermione should’ve been Yennefer. And Ron would be Geralt because he’s I guess kind of the protective character of the group and also kills a werewolf in the books. Not to mention Geralt/Yennefer and Ron/Hermione Just how I think it should’ve lined up.
