It has ALWAYS been SHORTENED, NOT given. They have ALWAYS tried to take an inch sometimes 2 inches away from some of the players to make it look “cooler” like they’re doing more and jumping higher or some stupid shit.... And Bradley Beal was absolutely never listed at 6’6 what are you even talking about.. He’s been listed at 6’5 at most and that’s about RIGHT.. You cannot take a random picture where they’re clearly not even standing directly next to each other to measure them up. Beal is about 6’5. And he IS currently measured at 6’4…. But like I said, 99 times out of 100 these morons TAKE AWAY height from players: Kobe was CLEARLY at least 6’7: he was literally listed at 6’7 the entire first half of his career and then all of a sudden he’s randomly listed at 6’6 like nobody would notice.. There is literal clear as day proof of him being listed at 6’7 his whole career all the way up to around 2007 or so-just watch the older games, like any one during their three peat or afterward pretty much any game he was still #8 in, they clearly list his height at 6’7 right on the screen-but then all of a sudden they start listing him at 6’6 after 10+ years in the league clearly being listed at 6’7. Dwyane Wade was EVERY BIT of 6’5 I’ve stood right next to him and seen him stand next to players that are 6’6-6’7 and he’s barely even shorter than them at all; and he was listed at just 6’4.. He was literally even listed at 6’5 in college and when he came into the league, 6’5 212lbs, then ALL of a sudden he’s dropped to 6’4. It’s just as stupid. And then Scottie Pippen was one of the worse ones; he was clearly 6’9-6’8.5 at the absolute shortest, and yet listed at 6’7 most of his career. Which was way off. He’s literally taller than Rodman was who listed at 6’8 when he’s listed at 6’7, yet he’s clearly the taller one. He was about 6’9, and Rodman was 6’8….mn he But Rodman himself then had the SAME bullshit happen to him as well: provably listed at 6’8 his whole career and then with the Bulls the NBA started listing him at 6’7, and then even down to just 6’6 their last year in ‘98. He was very CLEARLY taller than MJ who is an actual 6’6. But if you look him up now he’s actually listed at 6’8 like he actually was his whole career.. Rodman was clearly 6’8. It’s a joke. Durant is about 7 feet tall, listing him at 6’9 was just blatantly obvious. That was just stupid. And Lebron is clearly 6’9 and about 260-265lbs but was listed at 6’8 250 almost his whole career. And “Bronny” James IS NOT just 6’1. He’s every bit of 6’3. He was listed at 6’3 his whole college career, idk where 6’4 came from, but he is damn sure not 6’1. That is just the league YET AGAIN taking inches away to make it sound like they’re doing more or some shit.. They’ve done this shit forever. Since the early 90’s even back into the 80’s.. Kobe was clearly 6’7, Wade was clearly 6’5, Pippen was clearly 6’8-6’9, Rodman was clearly 6’8, Durant is clearly almost 7 feet; the list goes on... Kevin Garnett & Tim Duncan were both OVER 7 feet tall, around 7’1 maybe 7’0.5, but both listed at just 6’11... And I could name plenty more the list keeps on going. It’s ridiculous how many players’ heights they’ve fucked up for no reason at all. Solely to make it sound cooler like they’re doing more. It’s pointless. Beal has never been listed at 6’6 and “Bronny” being listed at 6’1 is just yet another example of this joke. Period. He’s at least 6’3. They’ve done this shit for years.
Back in the day, Kobe was listed at 6'7" despite being 6' 4 3/4". Draymond used to be 6'8" despite being 6' 5 3/4". Kevin Love was always listed at 6'10" despite being 6' 7 3/4. The NBA would take a player's height in-shoes and round-UP, so lots of players would wear taller shoes to get that boost on paper. Side-Note: LeBron was NEVER 270, nor is he 6'9".
IMO KAT is big for nothing. Naz Reid played better. You can get a lot for KAT. Get another 2 way forward like Randle and maybe another big man Bol Bol, Drummond, Turner.
Brunson, CP3, Kemba, are all 5’11-6’0 at best. Kyrie, Curry, Dame, Jah, are at best 6’0-6’1. NBA players get measured in sneakers which add 1-2 inches.
NBA players USED to be measured with shoes on up until 2018 I THINK. Also some are known to TRY (key word TRY) to cheat on the height test to play a different position or improve their stock
They also had Lebron at 6'8" until the most recent official NBA listing of 6'9". Why KD & Bron would be okay with their listing of an inch shorter, I'll never know.
Kd said in an interview that if he told them he was 6’10-6’11 they’d put him at center and he wasn’t big enough and comfortable enough playing at center or power forward. He was always a small forward before so he wanted to stay there
I remember Luka picking Lively straight away when they had their first practice last summer when they first met...... He saw him as Dwight power but taller longer and more athletic version. Luka loves this center prototype but Dwight was just too small for his liking
Brad Beal has never ever been listed at 6’6”. I’ve seen 6’3 and 6’4 but 6’6 is insane. I’m an EYBL coach I’ve stood next to Bronny several times. And he’s every bit of 6’3 unless he’s been wearing height pads all these years.
He’s not that guy. Good but not great. Understand why MJ didn’t want to overpay an undersized score first point guard who’s a liability on defense. Look at how his career went downhill after he left Charlotte.
